The reason I say nay is because there are other things I would much rather see. Mounted combat, improved Werewolves, seasonal foliage, expanding the guild questlines, more clothes, armor, and weapons available to choose from, the ability to remove the look of enchantments from the weapons, an improved HUD and UI, all of these things are things that take precedents for me over a terrible looking Vampire Lord. I hate the look of it plain and simple.

Things I'd like to see improve Skyrim's Vampire:

Grotesque appearance like the Volkihar Vampires.

Permanent muffle effect as long as you're a vampire.

Increased rates of Health, Stamina, and Magicka regen the higher stage of vampirism you're at (at night).

Ability to turn into mist (similar to Become Ethereal)

Ability to walk on water at higher stages of vampirism.

Vampirism levels up the more you feed, not the reverse.

Or because they based it on the Vampire Lords from the Underworld franchise.
"all of these things are things that take precedents for me over a terrible looking Vampire Lord" What makes you think they can't work on all that at the same time? It's not like they're small company....

"Things I'd like to see improve Skyrim's Vampire"
1. If they change the look of vamps it should only be for the last stage. If they do it at the first then no one will talk to you and it will break your game. After playing Morrowind I can say that this is not the way to go.

2. Too OP. Plus we have a long lasting spell for that and enchantments for boots.

3. Agreed.

4. No that is a different clan of vamps in High Rock I believe. The devs have already borrowed too much from The Order. They don't need to take more stuff from other clans too. The Volkihar should be unique.

5. Walk on water? Again that's just an alteration spell that anyone could use. Why only add it for vamps and not everyone? Besides there is no lore stating that Volkihar can walk on water just because they're vamps.

6. Agreed. They need to differentiate The Order from the Volkihar.

i dont think hircine would change them, hes got his werepuppets to toy with and i think vampires are more parasites than hunters
Most vampires hunt/stalk their prey then break open their prey's Carotid Artery and drink the blood. Afterwords they leave them to die..... How is that in any way parasitic?

it makes no sense that they would not be in more places of power and be pulling the strings during some of these major conflicts.
That's more the Orders thing in Cyrodiil. Most vamps in TES can't blend into society, so we shouldn't expect many of them to do that.

A http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r105/Enoil/DarkFishyStick.jpg for you OP.
I don't know if the winged vampire lord fits the game lore, I heven't read about anything like it at least.
I do agree that vampires need an improvement, I'm just not sure that changin into some flying monstrousity and imp minions is the right way to do it.

I'd like Blades Light Armor...and they could take a few of the Mages/College Robes and make them different colors so we could have some variety.
I would also like to see some of the current clothing implemented with different colors. But I just want my vampire to have additional jumping height maybe x2,x4 and beable to feed in combat, Maybe have a sneak animation from behind where you grab the enemy and bite his throat.

Also, If the devs do decide to had a Vampire Lord, It should be the last transistion of the vampirism. And he should beable to fly high like dragons freely

you can have thralls, not vampire ones but one of the higher level (sure its master) conjuration spells allows you to have a thrall...

op i like the idea of a vampire skill tree. i think u could have 3 branches to it one side volkihar skills, the middle your basic vampire skills then, the third side cyrodil vampire skills. All leading to the vampire lord at the top, it may not be lore friendly but i surely wont say no to extra content. am sure you could roleplay it in somehow...

seeing that theres not many vampires in skyrim (not as many as what i hoped anyway) " a blight upon tamriel has been sent in the form of a vampire lord. moulded by the daedric prince
molag bol, this creature of the night has been created to restore the dwindleing volkihar clan back to former glory and a insult to arkay..." bla bla bla you get the idea could even throw a dlc centered round it...

bethesda i want royalties and rights if you do lol
that my friend is pure perfection and the quick little bio is sick please do this todd :D

Why can I not pass through the ice? I understand this would be impossible to program without 1352657236 bugs but hey, it was in the lore :)

What ice? Are you planning to live in a lake or something?

If I could, I'd totally do that. Setting up a vampire lair in an air pocket cave would be fantastic. Especially if there were more NPCs traveling around the open world for you to attack.
