Ten things about the Vampire Lord

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:22 am

Do you think that vampires are being "dumbed down", and made more convenient, so that the masses will buy their DLC? Bethesda would not do that.....would they?
Oblivion and Skyrim both underwent the same treatment, why not do it further with dlc?

I think they will have something in exchange for taking away the stage four hostile NPC thing. We have to wait.

Yes, I realised that if changing into a vampire lord happens automatically after stage four, then basically its just the addition of an extra stage and nothing else much would change.
Instead of feeding to avoid becoming blood-starved, I would now feed to avoid becoming a vampire lord.

Why don't we actually wait until we know how the new vampire stage system works, getting annoyed and stressed about speculation doesn't help anyone.

I think they will reverse the stage system, you have to feed to become stronger. I hope this is the case, but I'll wait until I know for sure how it works before I get annoyed about it. Not a fan of removal of the blood starved hated vampire thing though, I quite enjoy playing with that in the back of my mind, but again we don't actually know.

About the OP, as 'The Unconnected One' stated, half the things on the list weren't mentioned at e3 and you've failed to provide proof, I'm skeptical about points 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 3 and 2 as I haven't heard them anywhere on any of the interviews.

I've read most of these through gameinformer and joystiq. The people who played the demo are making articles about it and confirming these things.

So after watching alot of vids and reading alot of websites,i gathered some interesting stuff you guys might know already or maybe dont know.I thought i share them with you guys.

Ten things about the Vampire Lord.

10. You can't sneak or crouch as a Vampire Lord.

9. The button layout will be different from the normal one and different from the Werewolf button layout. For example, pressing X (Xbox360) on your controller will switch between claws and magic.

8. Some abilities like the swarm of bats teleport(dodge move) will have a cooldown timer like the dragon shouts.

7. It seems that you can only play in the 3rd person view(not confirmed).

6. You can only access the Vampire Lord's perk tree while transformed. You can't access your inventory while you're in Vampire form.

5. You can only use spells from the Vampire Lord's perk tree while transformed.

4. You can stay transformed as long as you want.(no bloodlust like a Werewolf)

3. Skyrim's NPCs will no longer react with hostility toward any regular vampires, only with Vampire Lords.

2. If the player is a werewolf and becomes a Vampire Lord, the player's lycanthropy will be cured. Later, however, the player can give up being a Vampire Lord and return to being a werewolf if desired.

1. The Vampire Lord will have a few basic abilities like the normal Vampire.Including stuff like the swarm of bats dodge move, vampire sight and raise dead.

Sources are:E3 Interviews and gameplay footage of Dawnguard,DTIOD hands on Dawnguard,Gameinformer articles and others, uesp

About number 9... I was hoping to have a non-combat form as a vampire lord. D:

I thought you'd say this..

Instead of suggesting that I'm too lazy, or that I need to concentrate when watching the interviews, how about you actually provide proof to back up your claims.

This is a worthless thread without proof, it's not worth my time checking if what you've said is true, it's better for me just to dismiss it. You went out of your way to inform people, but decline to show proof, suggesting you are wrong.

I have to be honest,i don't know much about the TES vampire lore either, sadly.I'am more into the Werewolf stuff. But i will look it up sooner or later and i think the Vampire Lord will be a great addition to the game.
Thanks for your post
