Ten things about the Vampire Lord

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:11 am

From the looks of a video I've seen it seems that you can hover as long as you have enough stamina that is what I got from the depleting stamina meter.
That would fit what i've heard about sprinting as Vampire Lord. While you run/sprint you can also hover over water. It would fit your description of the depleting stamina bar. Thanks :tops: !

So the ordinary vampires gets to become bat swarms? That's nice
No,only the Vampire Lord will get this ability.
really?
i could have sworn i seen a regular vampire turn into a swarm of bats in the original dawnguard trailer.

Are you [censored] kidding me? Damn it, way to murder vampirism! I bet Bethesda did this to appease the whiney brats who kept complaining that they were attacked in stage 4 vampirism. They expect vampirism to be all bonuses and no drawbacks and they are too lazy to feed. And some of us who enjoy lore have to suffer as these casual gamers get what they want. This pisses me off so much.

this, so much this. iv hated these fakevampires and all they could mean from the begining though

p.s. OP, it seems some of your "Facts" are speculation

There is really no telling how regular vampires will be now, they said the pretty much revamped it, so it could be pretty different from what we have now.

Your welcome. It makes sense you can hover over water based off of how much stamina you have and I like that.
Thanks for the information about sprinting and hovering over the water I must have overlooked that feature.

Hmmm....that's not anywhere on UESP. I'll try to find it in the videos, I guess.
I will copy and past it for you directly from the UESP website :drag:

  • http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vampire_Lord form and perks
    • Vampire Lord perks are unlocked by killing while in Vampire Lord form.
    • With the addition of Vampire Lords, Skyrim's NPCs will no longer react with hostility toward any regular vampires, only with Vampire Lords.
    • If the player is a werewolf and becomes a Vampire Lord, the player's lycanthropy will be cured. Later, however, the player can give up being a Vampire Lord and return to being a werewolf if desired.

Link better next time. You linked to a page about VL perks. That info is in the generic Dawnguard section, which has changed dozens of times in the last 72 hours. Anyway, thanks for the correction.

I'll spare my comment on your statement except this.Did you check the website every 15mins?...Becouse when you say it changed dozen of times the last 72 hours then you would have known all the stuff already and didn't have to ask me for the link/s.

If NPCs don't react to regular vampires at all anymore, where is the incentive to feed? Maybe to talk to people I guess, but you could pretty much stay in Stage 4 the rest of the time. Plus, they had already made it much easier by changing actual sun damage to a loss of regen. There's really no need for this change, I'll be modding it out with a vampire overhaul after release.

We really don't know yet, but I would say there may be a new penalty, we will have to wait for release. It was said the kind of revamped it, so using what we know now may be a little off.

I don't need your comment, nor does anyone else. And no, I don't check it obsessively, though I do know it has changed many times because of E3. Since you also cited other info which does not appear on UESP, my questioning of the location of some of your info is legitimate, since multiple other pieces of info you mentioned have not yet been confirmed nor have they appeared on the UESP. Therefore, if/when all of your 10 points appear on the UESP, then you can just tell everyone to look there, instead of having them ask you to point them in the direction of the source. Until that time, your sources will be questioned, and many people (myself included) will not have already seen what info has been added to the UESP in recent hours.

I thanked you for the info and the correction for my error, that should suffice. Thanks for posting the thread, but please remember that you will be questioned.

I wonder if we take any fall damage in hover mode. Would be cool to glide off cliffs and mountains.

Pretty sure I read somewhere in one off these interview things recently if you reach level four in vampirism nobody will talk to you at all.

I bet after you loose your stamina and your that high and you fall you will die. The stamina looks to effect how long you can hover for.

No, that's not how it works. You need to have proof to back up what you say. I watched each of those interviews three times and i don't remember seeing some of what you said. As the maker of the thread you need to tell me where in the videos to look for this info.

Have to being the operative word.
When I want to know something I Google it myself. If I cannot find it I ask for a source then.
