Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 7:54 am

So after watching alot of vids and reading alot of websites,i gathered some interesting stuff you guys might know already or maybe dont know.I thought i share them with you guys.

Ten things about the Vampire Lord.

10. You can't sneak or crouch as a Vampire Lord.

9. The button layout will be different from the normal one and different from the Werewolf button layout. For example, pressing X (Xbox360) on your controller will switch between claws and magic.

8. Some abilities like the swarm of bats teleport(dodge move) will have a cooldown timer like the dragon shouts.

7. It seems that you can only play in the 3rd person view(not confirmed).

6. You can only access the Vampire Lord's perk tree while transformed. You can't access your inventory while you're in Vampire form.

5. You can only use spells from the Vampire Lord's perk tree while transformed.

4. You can stay transformed as long as you want.(no bloodlust like a Werewolf)

3. Skyrim's NPCs will no longer react with hostility toward any regular vampires, only with Vampire Lords.

2. If the player is a werewolf and becomes a Vampire Lord, the player's lycanthropy will be cured. Later, however, the player can give up being a Vampire Lord and return to being a werewolf if desired.

1. The Vampire Lord will have a few basic abilities like the normal Vampire.Including stuff like the swarm of bats dodge move, vampire sight and raise dead.

No, that's not how it works. You need to have proof to back up what you say. I watched each of those interviews three times and i don't remember seeing some of what you said. As the maker of the thread you need to tell me where in the videos to look for this info.

Are you [censored] kidding me? Damn it, way to murder vampirism! I bet Bethesda did this to appease the whiney brats who kept complaining that they were attacked in stage 4 vampirism. They expect vampirism to be all bonuses and no drawbacks and they are too lazy to feed. And some of us who enjoy lore have to suffer as these casual gamers get what they want. This pisses me off so much.

... Because you totally can't just role play yourself into needing to be stage 3 or less to talk to people >_>

While there are obvious problems for people wanting to roleplay say... a "good vampire" in the current system, there aren't problems for either side if they change it.

Well, I don't know if that was confirmed. I know that some of his facts are wrong. Like the button layout. X will put away your claws/magic and allow you to look at yourself and whatnot. In other words, not in combat mode. The Crouch/Sneak button will change whether you hover or stand. While standing you use claws, while hovering you use spells. That was confirmed in an article by Eurogamer I believe... Don't quote me on the source.

See, there is a fine line between something actually happening and roleplaying. I already roleplay that my werewolves transform during the full moon, but it is actually me activating Beast form. It blows.

I don't understand why Bethesda would even do this. We have more feeding methods than before; Feed on people when sleeping, feed on a person when they are awake, drink bottles of human blood that will count as feedings. If anything, vampirism was already facilitated. Starving the character to reach stage 4 only to not risk people attacking them would take away the purpose of it.

Thats partially correct, thanks for the post mate. While standing you use your claws and while hovering you use magic, true. But its switched by pressing x.You can hover over water for short period of time.Anyway, the button layout will be different from a human form and werewolf form.

I expect they did it for that reason and the vampire lord bat form, I think they made it like that to make it more similar to the werewolf side of things. Strange yes but I think that is why they did it. But I think they have it backwards at Bethesda I this k you should grow more powerful the more you feed.

That is not what I heard. In a different video, one where it only showed the footage and two people talked over it, they said that as long as you hover, you can hover over water. And how would they have shown the Vampire Lord in a 360 spin with its hands down if you couldn't lower your hands to exit combat mode? You couldn't. And they wouldn't move the button to do that when you transformed. That would be confusing.

5. You can only use spells from the Vampire Lord's perk tree while transformed.

This svcks. I wanted to cast fireballs or mage armor and junk while I was transformed

So we agree that Vampire lords can hover over water and disagree about the time.I dont know what footage or which people you are talking about.I think thats a minor, teenie tiny detail on how long you can hover over water. We will see sooner or later. :drag:

I would love to know where this info was said, and if it's true, that is awesome news. That can only mean that you can now become a werwolf outside of the Companions (as it should have been from the start). Because in vanilla Skyrim if you cure your lycanthropy you can never become a werewolf again, but you can become a vampire and cure vampirism as many times as you want....which was really unfair and silly.

I hope this is implemented through the use of either wild werewolves, or some new quest that involves becoming one.

From the looks of a video I've seen it seems that you can hover as long as you have enough stamina that is what I got from the depleting stamina meter.
