I know, right? So brainstorm something up, shout guys. While yes, shouts are fun in TES5, how could htey possibly work in TES6 without breaking the lore, and while also being fun to play? Because you can't just "read word, kill dragon, FUS RO DAH" anymore.
My solution? Lore friendly substitute. It'll be similar to shouts, but not actually shouts. Powers the MC gets in TES6 related to whatever destined uberguy they happen to be this time. They work a lot like shouts, enough similarities to make it familiar, but it'd be different enough - new enough - that it's still distinct, fresh, and fun.
