I could go for some snow right now. We have a heat wave in Sydney at the moment, and we're getting 40 degree weather. That's about 105 in farenheit (spelling?).

One or two feet of snow is no reason to skip school and I've never heard of snow days.
Maybe if it got cold, I might have skipped school myself back in the day. Under -30C would have been too cold for me and we still had to go to school at under -20C. I did anyways. Sports class (or P.E.) skiing might have been replaced with some indoor sport on that day though.

It depends on their average. I knew a girl from 'Nice' who remembered that once all roads were closed for a week because of snow (few inches)... They simply don't have machinery there because it never snows!!! Almost.
But yeah, today we had 25-30cm (10-12in) of snow and me and my BF went to an appointment, and made a stop at a drug store and the bank like nothing was wrong. It was in fact fun. It's always fun to drive in big fluffy snow.
