How do you feel about the melee list so far?

Combining big guns with small guns without combining unarmed into melee is a questionable design decision. As long as I'm hitting you in close, regardless if its with my fist or crowbar, its all classified as "Melee".

Not implementing dual-wield chainsaws is also a questionable design decision.

They spread out the Big Guns over other categories. And actually, when taking law into account, you get a bigger punishment for hitting someone with an object then punching him/her with your fist. Also if one know how to handle hitter objects like hammers and knifes you don't necessarily know how to fight with only your fists

Edit: Combining Melee with Unarmed would be like teaching a guy Karate (Unarmed) and then he goes to be a world Kendo (Melee) Champion

I'm wondering how many good bladed weapons there are going to be. So far, the only bladed weapons we've seen are the Bumper Sword and the Cleaver (and the spears, but those aren't the kind of blades we're talking about). The Shishkebab is the #1 bladed weapon hands down, but it would still be nice to have a bunch of other blades. Ooh!!! Chainsaw!!! That would be incredible. Hopefully, you could mod some of the powered melee weapons like the ripper or maybe the old cattle prod. Mods for a chainsaw could include diamond tipped blades, a more powerful motor, and a lighter frame to decrease weight and increase swing speed.

The word "Melee" doesn't distinguish between what weapon you use or even if you use a weapon at all. It just means close combat with many participants.

I just can't see the logic of splitting up the big gun skill at all, even if they are putting strength requirements on the bigger guns. Energy Weapons and the new Gun skill are still Perception/Agility governed.
