1.6 priority requests.

what would you like to see Bethesda make a priority for 1.6? Please limit your post to 2 bugs.

For me they should First fix a few of the glitches involving learning/unlocking shouts. This is a major problem for many people. I do not plan to put my Skyrim copy back in the drive until this is fixed.

Second is the skill buff glitches. fix them.

Only 2 - such a tough task

Letrush issue - spawning half body in ground in front of whiterun stables - plus multiple letrushes popping up in same location

Fix the failing arrow issue - arrow only going five feet when bow fully drawn back

So many more but I am sure others will list

The two things that lead to bloated save files:

1) Nirnroot glowstacking
2) Enemy weapons and arrows (including bound) not cleaning up properly

They aren't even reading this forum... so... yeah...

Shield Charge doesn't work after months of it working just fine.

Any one of the broken quests like now, in the last 5 minutes, the iron claw for Valthume. Worked great on the first character, now that I started over with level 11 char (to bide my time on my L69 char), it does not work.. Yeah the puzzle is figured correctly.

Again, this piece of junk should've waited til 12-12-12. Even if I had about 15 days to play it bug-free before the world ended (end of 2012), I would have still taken it over this garbage.

I sense that the game will break on every single level, artifact, and location for someone at some point in time.

As I look at the Nirnroot issues, Werewolf bugs, and so many other hundreds of issues to my all-fav series, I seriously want to stop gaming forever.

Assuming these two things cause crashes, because crashes are beyond any doubt the main problem of the game:

- Louis Letrush.
- Nirnroot glow.

And calling these a priority for 1.6 is rather sad. They should've been among the priorities since day one, many, many months ago.

Too many times do I go into a dungeon or even an exterior playspace and find weapons FLOATING IN THE AIR that should be on a weapon rack or on the ground. They also need to fix the Nirnroot stacking, this is why my original 150+ hour playthrough was ruined.

I really hope someone on the Bethesda payroll reads this and at least considers taking a look at these kinds of bugs, they are ruining OUR game.

Wow that bow issue is a bug and here I just thought my archery skills where awful. On a side note yeah fix that bow issue it really screws me over sometimes I really didn't know it was a bug.

#2 is apparently addressed in 1.5:
  • Arrows and other projectiles that were stuck in objects in the world now clean up properly
I'd like to see the nirnroot glow addressed myself, its one of the biggest issues I think causing problems for people.

This logic is FLAWLESS.*

Also, the atomic nirnroot thing is curious to me since I've never seen it myself. What does it entail exactly? Like it just glows after you pick the plant, it glows REALLY brightly, orrr?

actually its flawed.

'modding' around a bug isn't the same thing as fixing it, many 'mod patches' work around layering code to 'work around' the problem rather then address the actual problem itself. Mod patches aren't complete fixes either, they are either work-a-rounds or partial fixes that are done with the scripting that they have access to. If the problem exists inside of how the game engine itself is working, or those tidbits that they don't have access to modify, then the only thing that the modding community can do is work around it, doing a 'soft patch' which is temporary and has to be updated with each new version released, instead of a 'hard patch' which is a more permanent fix. If they truely have a permanent fix for the bug they should share that information with bethesda directly so that the problem(s) can be resolved quicker for every platform.

The asterisk was meant to imply that my saying it was flawless wasn't totes legit, but in any case, I pretty much agree with you completely. People just get impatient or frustrated and starting spouting off all sorts of silly things that really make absolutely no sense at all.

Also wow, yeah, that's...something. A REALLY annoying something, I'm surprised there's no videos of it on YouTube or anything. Then again, running a Skyrim with atomic nirnroot everywhere and Fraps would probably make most people's computer's grow legs and leap out of the nearest window.

1. Fix the Trinity Restored bug. I'm referring to the one which causes Karliah and Brynjolf not to show up at the Standing Stone should the player discover it prior to having the quest activated. It completely breaks the rest of the Thieve's Guild main quest so the player is unable to become Guild Master.

2. Fix the Animal Extermination bug. If the player happens to be out exploring prior to receiving this quest from Aela The Huntress and they kill the animal, it breaks the quest and they can't advance through the rest of the side quests. They're stuck. It's a Companion main quest breaking bug because it can prevent a player from becoming Harbinger of the Companions if they do the side quests prior to the Companion main quest line.

Oh that works, thanks. Yeah I was searching for "atomic nirnroot" and got a lot of Blondie results. Then I ended up listening to those and forgot why I went to YouTube in the first place.

1) Werewolf totem mission flagged as incomplete although have token. Now stuck without a follower.
2) when you have the dog following stop it from either trapping you in a room / corner, or pushing you of a cliff

Along with everyting above I would like follower related bugs fixed. Including:
-Follower starting gear should not respawn, or at least not everytime you rehire them. My lydia can barely hold anything aside from the equipment I have her using.
-Also followers using their base Hunting bow instead of stronger ones(like a glass bow) needs to be fixed. They should also recognise smithing and enchanting enhancements.
-Dog followers randomly dissapearing when entering cells needs to be fixed. Also not a bug but I think the dogs base attack of 8 should rise with it's level, kinda like the werewolf.
-And followers stats need to rise correctly with thier levels. Gamers should not have to invent ways like Wabbajacking followers to get around problems.

Personally I hope 1.6 does nothing but fix gameplay issues. By that I mean Follower, Skill, NPC A.I. and stability(areas respawing correctly) related bugs.

only thing I have seen in my playthrough the game is my wife, Mjoll, and the housecarl of Markatth fighting over a weapon I put on a weapon rack. Mjoll kept firing arrows at him and he didnt do anything.

My two would have to be
-Fix every Waking Nightmare bug, getting so sick of not being able to finish that quest
-Fix a couple of the side/guild quests so they don't interfer with the main quest

Perhaps not a priority for some but I would really like to see the ability to fish added. Oh and the Louis Letrush cloning bug has to go! It was amusing at first but now it's just a constant reminder of how fubar things are getting.

Fix the glitch that stops followers levelling with the player. It's a pain having to carry Wabbajack around with me just to keeps my followers levelled up.

Fix the nirnroot glow stacking glitch

Fix the glitch that causes a followers carrying capacity to go lower every time you dismiss and rehire them.

Fix the glitch that can cause followers to disappear when in dungeons. Usually happens if they get hit through the wall by a trap.

Fix the bug where completing misc quests for Skald doesn't remove the quest from the journal. I have multiple fininshed quests for skald not showing as complete in journal.

Fix that glitched guard in calcelmos laboratory. The one that attacks you for no reason then makes all guards in Markarth hostile when you run away from him.

Fix the glitch where dogs randomly disappear when travelling through wilderness.

Fix the louis letrush clone giltch.

Fix the glitch that causes some dragons to not have souls. I know it's supposed to be fixed in earlier patch but there are still dragons without souls.

Fix the strange amulet stuck in inventory glitch that happens if you don't sell it to calixto.

Fix that respawn bug that mentioned in that other thread about giants not respawning.
