I made a new normal map for the Imperial Cape for myself to you, if you want it here it is: https://skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?cid=6775c1d2217eb000&resid=6775C1D2217EB000!1812&parid=6775C1D2217EB000!119

I gave depth to the unique details of the Imperial Cape.

Well now I am on pc , is that taken from the original texture I posted for the imperial logo/cape? I mean you used a filter from photoshop or the like? I didn't check but I think that a imprinted logo shouln't have a relief ....
But I will check later :) ....

I guess they don't flap around :P, too bad they do look nice though, good for RP and maybe vanity dress-up XD

I just wish some day we will see capes/cloaks in a TES game that actually move (like those banners in skyrim)

Some other game have interactive clothes that woudl really allow in a tes game a better piecemental armor system so that when a cloth piece or armor meets another they woudl work in physic collision and not overlapping or intruding one in the other with the known clipping issues...

only game I saw that does capes really well is Batman AA :D

I just have a question....

can't you somehow use that flapping cloth banner we see around the game??!! as a cape template or something!

As far as I know, that's just a mesh with some basic, looping animation added to it. I don't believe Skyrim actually models it as cloth with physics.

Well, I can't do anything, as I'm not a modeller (and despite similarities of name, I'm not the originator of this thread.)

And from what I remember of my Oblivion modding scene days way back when, animated meshes couldn't be attached to the player. Maybe this was overcome, or Skyrim has no such limitations, I'm not sure. But that may not be possible.

Thankyou ...

The Game I remember has some great physics for clothes is Red dead redemption , not that they had capes tough , but anyway there a re a lot of new games with capes and stuff

http://physxinfo.com/articles/?page_id=389

Since Creation Engine uses Havok then I guess it shoudl be possilbe in line of principle to add ....

Havok Cloth is available for licensing and can be already seen in several released games, like DJ Hero, Heavy Rain and Sports Champions.

Back on the topic I do not have any idea if the CE supports this but since no item clothing has it I doubt .....

Btw if you like it Endorse it :) ...

Its not actual physics but animation, if open Skyrim character skeleton you will see special bones for clothing thats Devs try use for animated clothing but didn't do thats by some reason.

These capes are excellent, but I had to disable them because I would get visual glitches occasionally with the Amulet of Talos. On loading sometimes stretched glitchy polygons would emanate from my character in 3rd person. Also, I think some Amulet of Talos-wearing NPCs with unique animations cause problems -- a praying NPC on High Hrothgar had polygons shooting out of her in all directions.

Do you ahve the latest version ? This is due to the morphing wich I think I have solved in latest version as I replaced with the same cape anyway do you use a female may be? I I think I forgot to update it for females perhaps...
