I liked the link! I'm tempted to use magic, but I will resist for now.The great thing about Skyrim, is there's a million ways to do things. Now, how can I get Sygjla to wear hammerfell garb? Not easy on da PS3!!!

I think I am only one of a handful of people who is intelligent enough to solve this delicious little puzzle.

My goodness. Someone certainly thinks an awful lot of themselves, don't they?

Very clever and creative. You do, however, have a taste for knick-knacks.

There's supposedly another way to do it - Necromancers and Draugrs don't get along so... You can make em fight one another without much issue, if you get both alerted: Shout or something.

the console?

*sigh* Had you read the thread, you would have known that he's on a gaming console of whichever version - which doesn't allow for "console" input such as those of us on a pc can do.

[BTW.... for jmoaby and others: he explains what he actually did in post #47....]

Thank you  I really wanted to get a nice house whilst keeping my clean stats. What's a 'knick knack'?, I am not familiar with that expression. I could look it up on the internet but 1) I may get the wrong translation, and 2) You could explain it betterMy next challenge/puzzle is to get Sygjla out of those miner's clothes and into a nice tavern outfit or hammerfell garb. Strategy 1 will be to leave the outfits lying around the house and hope she tries it on lol I can't use pickpocket skill because that would affect stats :(

if you use a shout or any type of spell then it effects the Magic stats page

Heh. "A taste for knick-knacks" is a "granny saying" my PennDeutsch grandma used to use - meaning that one had an interest in doing something in a complicated way that she (in her mind) could do much simpler. It's just a way of saying "jeez, I'd never go to that much effort myself, but props to you for doing it!"

I missed the PS part of the post, my bad.

And I didn't see the second page.

On another note, after reading the answer, I find that it's very much like cheating at his own self-imposed rules. Whether or not the follower is in your service or not, killing is killing.

This, in my opinion, is a better example of pacifism

Well.... console entry is cheating to some people. A non-follower killing kited mobs is cheating to some people. *shrug* It depends on your PoV of course....

That's not "bad", Val. I didn't mean it that way at all. Just that after a bajillion hours playing CRPGs (first one in 1985) I'm more into doing all my roleplay in my mind while I just go about having fun in the game.

i didn't kill anybody lol i was walking about, minding my own business when, unprovoked, I was attacked. if a person nearby, who is not a follower helps me, then i am a grateful trader who is being saved!

well I did play Skyrim the simple way first, 100+ hours, going about killing whoever, having fun and completing quests lolthis is just a way of trying to add longevity to the game before i put it on the shelf. its not for everyone though.

Oh, I'll probably never "shelve" it. No more than I have its predecessors. I play them all at times, and otherwise, I have 60 toons on WoW....

In addition, Felix the Peaceful Monk, although a pacifist, wont be able to buy any of the houses in the game. To get the house in Solitude, you need to kill all the necromancers, not 'calm' them. i dont feel like i'm 'cheating' because i should be free to explore Skyrims landscape without being attacked. i am not attacking the necromancers, i walk up to say hello and they attack me, unprovoked! I was tempted to buy a PC recently but the games forcing you to use Steam irks me. Greatly. Steam down? Oh too bad, you can't play right now. Annoys me almost as much as the forced icons on my PS3!!!!! I really need to relax and chill out more lol

I don't really have the "steam down" issue - steam is only allowed to start up offline on my setup. I really don't need it connected all the time - I have VERY limited dl bw due to dish being my only available "broadband"....

And of course, a pc means you CAN play games like WoW - if you want to pay the subscription fee. Doesn't bother me - I have three accounts.... It's such a good game I'll probably quit it only when Blizzard ends WoW.

I quite fancy playing WoW, although I better not say that too loudly on these forums. It's a hanging offense if I didn't all but know it.

Oh, I don't know. It's a completely different thing really. I play WoW addictively. I also play TES games addictively. Beth gets my money every time they release a game - and I do promote their games to many people and have done so since I started playing Daggerfall. It's not like WoW would make me quite TES, or vice versa.
