A proper puzzle

This will not be for everyone. If you think it's boring and not for you then please ignore this thread and don't post anything negative.

After a 'normal' playthrough with different characters (eg mage, warrior, assassin etc) and completing the main questlines and side quests, I decided to try something a little different.

I started a new game and created a 'Non-Combat' character who is an Imperial Trader. My main goals/rules that I set for myself were:

1) Achieve a personal wealth of 1 million coins
2) NO Combat, all stats on Combat/Magic/Crime screens must be '0'
3) Buy a nice house for me and a wife to live in
4) No fast travel, but can use horse carriages
5) I must sleep eight hours at night and eat 3 times a day and drink plenty ale or wine lol

Everything started fine. I managed to escape Helgen and reach Riverwood without killing anyone or anything (I hid behind Hadvar), and moved North to Whiterun.

Spent a few nights at the Bannered Mare and chopped wood for Hulda before taking horse carriage to Riften. Walked North to Shor's Stone and fell in love with Sygjla. We were married at the Temple of Mara shortly afterwards.

So everything was going swimmingly. I had a beautiful wife. I picked ingredients, made potions, did a little bit of mining and made jewellery. If I walked along a road and a wolf or bear came at me I simply ran away like a coward (like I would in real life!)

Then the problem occured to me. How am I going to move me and the wife into a nice house AND keep the stats on Combat/Magic/Crime screens at '0'?

I wont give the answer away but after much head scratching and intellectual thinking I managed to achieve the dream. I got me and Sygjla to move into the big fancy house in Solitude whilst also keeping all the stats at '0'

How did I do it? I think I am only one of a handful of people who is intelligent enough to solve this delicious little puzzle. I certainly found it more complicated than the pillars with the snake/fish/bird that you encounter in dungeons with a character lol

The answer is not immediately obvious, but Valen says well done to whoever solves this problem puzzle!

p.s. I am on PS3 and didn't use any cheats or console commands

Follower kills can count as yours, though.

When a follower kills something for you, it counts towards your stats. Couldn't be that. He said he bought the house in Solitude, so he'd either have to do the Wolf Queen quest or the Civil War quest.

Do you ever actually HAVE to kill someone during the civil war, or can you just be present at the battle?

You could simply hire someone to do all the killing for you as a "bodyguard" and hide behind them as you did with Hadavar at Helgen... Not sure if that would keep you at 0 on all of your stats though since I never actually use a follower unless a quest forces them upon me and they aren't actually a follower...

Couldn't you just do five non combat missions for the people of Solitude? Radiant Raiment is one and you can do one for a chic in one of the Market Booths, are there 3 more?

I did the Wolf quest where you have to go and clear out the necromancers. You are right in saying that if you have a Follower and they kill for you, then their kills are added to your stats screen.I managed to clear out the necromancers whilst also keeping my stats at '0'. How did I do it?

No, you have to do the mission where you clear out the necromancers.

No frenzy spells, as that would mean stats on Magic screen would not be '0' I dont know if frenzy scrolls would affect stats screen for Magic? I never used any magic

Wouldn't that still count as a weapon for combat or magic... Also he avoided Daedric quests so it's out anyway...

Does Barbas following you around count as a follower, and does his kills count towards yours?
