PS3 Release for Dawnguard... #34

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:20 pm

Sure can - might be for a day or so before I go over again but I'll definitely take a pic when I'm there and get it to you.

Can we send pics here? I can post on twitter and you can link or DL no?

Twitter will be fine. Thanks so much for doing this. This would be very, very useful.

Post/link it here, too. I'm sure others would like to see it.

Mine is like his. Bought the game within a day or two of release. That's weird. Can you snap a picture of your menu screen? ETA: Let us know when you have the pic. I'd like to see it.

it's not the in game menu screen hun - it's the little printed guide booklet that comes in the box

Here's mine (with DLC menu option)

EDIT: Misunderstood. Thought you were also referring to booklet. I'm about to hop in the DawnguardPS3-mobile and head down to the local GameStop and ask my friendly neighborhood game clerk if I can have a look at a few of the boxes/manuals.

I can not believe what I have jusr seen - a mate of mine has Skyrim for PS3 bought earlier this year but definitely BEFORE there was any mention of DG release, and guess what...... His cover is different from mine some kind of 10/10 thing on the front, but more importantly NO mention of DLC on the back and the in-box guide Main Menu page - NO Downloadable Content option My menu page says: Continue - New - Load - Downloadable Content - Credits His says: Continue .- New - Load - Credits I cannot believe this - Does this mean Bethesda KNEW there was never going to be ANY DLC for PS3 way before they even mentioned Dawnguard??? Wooohoo did someone mention whips and chains? yes please me first!!!!

1. You have Downloadable Content on your menu? What patch are you on?
EDIT: Oh wait, is in the game manual or on the actual title screen of the page you're talking about?
2. That does seem very shady. You got a picture of this?
3. Be careful what you wish for.

I'm actually kind of surprised that nobody at Bethesda has said anything about this since the trailer came out. You'd at least think they'd still say "We're working on it" to try and fool people further. Maybe we're actually going to get the truth in the near future.

Has 1.8 been sent to the consoles for verification yet?

I apologize for speaking out, but REALLY!!? a third DLC for XBOX and PC when Bethesda hasn't even released the first one for PS3! (Yet again I apologize for this)

How difficult can it be for someone in Beth to type:

"As of 07/11/12 we like to reassure our PS3 community that we continue to work with Sony to bring DLC content to them. We appreciate the patience from the community and will release an update when we have more information."

Surely it can't be that difficult to do?

And with that, let's take that subject to PM for the sake of the younger and vanilla audiences.

It would be nice for them to do that, but even most people wouldn't accept it because they would still be 3+ months removed from their last update.

It is when you have a non disclosure agreement and any info leaked before hand can cost you your job and a lot of money. How would you like to be sued to the point everything you earn for money basically is theirs until the settlement for leaking info is paid off?

Could this business about the manual be locale specific? Like are the EU versions without and the US versions with?

I'll check mine tonight.

I have been suspicious they knew at least since release their was a slim chance in hell for PS3 DLC. The content developed during their 'game jam' week certainly happened well before release. I would suppose somebody loaded that up on a PS3 and tried the vampire animations...

I think the ONLY reason their is some hope is the risk to Bethesda from MS if no DLC comes to the PS3. Because otherwise MS paid for exclusivity that was irrelevant.

I was just in a Dragonborn beta thread that GStaff was posting in, figured while I was there I would ask if they had made any, even if only the slightest bit o progress with PS3 DLC. My post got deleted, if that's any indication of DLC progress or just mods trying to keep all the uproar strictly to one thread I don't know.

Edit: Was due to irrelevance to the topic. Still, I think we're way overdue for an update.

Probably because it was irrelevant to the topic at hand and wasn't anything to do with the topic. ALSO they're under an NDA contract. Which means they couldn't tell you if they wanted too.
