Quick thanks to Josh Sawyer and Obsidian

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 7:05 pm

So I should say "Great Job, nothing is wrong here" instead of "Great Job, even though there are still some flaws with it that make Bethesda's earlier Fallout game a little bit better?" No constructive criticism is allowed anymore?

You could try posting in threads about the problems with the game or posting in H&S to either get assistance or to log your problems and log them in a meaningful way that may help with a patch. But if you don't think you should have to serve up any thanks you should walk on by this topic because quite honestly saying thank you is what this thread is about.

There is nothing wrong for criticism, i believe Behesda and obilivion also wanna know what we, customer, as player think about the game. critisicm is good, it is the way improving the game and let the servant know what we want. we are the reason for their existense.

I do not bother about the BUG.

the things just bother me is lack of exporation department, like other forumer said.

when we close the eye, and imagine the word "Fallout" what do we see ? does NV really delivery that ?

let said the BOmb does not hit NV, why they name Fallout ?

Im not. In fact, I stated one the first page "This is a great game." I haven't disputed the fact that is isn't a great game, but that doesn't mean that flaws shouldn't be discussed or mentioned. Im not going to say "Great game" when there are multiple issues that can be solved still left. Is there any reason to not state that there are problems?

You can state there are problems, and state what solutions you hope for. But not in a thread that is supposed to be "thank you for the work, we are enjoying the game despite the bugs".

There are threads that are specifically about the bugs and problems.

Just wanted to add my thanks, been a huge fallout fan (and wasteland before that, which probably shows my age ;) ) Though I've run into a couple minor issues, nothing game breaking.

So THANKS to Obsidian, Bethesda and anyone who worked on this game, Great job!

I'm absolutely loving the game despite the problems and do want to say thank you. It'll be a jump up and down thank you when things are fixed and the problems stop taking me out of the moment, the experience of role-playing. That's all I want...just that. :)

I have my next game partially planned already so that says a lot. I love the stories; some stories are compelling and have made me cry. War svcks and the humanity, the examining of humanity in the stories is what makes me want more.

Again, thank you.

Well. I guessed I missed this thread.

I want to say thanks too. This is an excellent game.

I might hate some of the creatures, and some of the locations (Cazadores; Vault 34) but that's because I get my ass kicked by them, not because there is anything inherently wrong with them. Do I have minor gripes? Yup. But I've got those with most games. And they're *minor*.

I love New Vegas.

Thank you!

FONV is a great game. (all games have minor flaws, but the dev team at Obsidian always seem to be right top of those flaws, correcting them as fast as possable, kudos to them.) I can only expect it to get better with DLCs, The playing map is as big as FO3 as Josh Sawyer pointed out, but you can tell there's lots of space for them to add more stuff just outside of the main playing area.

Very few games can you honestly put well over 100 actual playing hours into and still not be half way done with finding everything and completeing the quests.

Indeed. I love that about these games. So much content/$.

I bought Fable 3 (Don't start!!) for $25 more. I was done most quests and finished the game in 24 hours flat. (Or 2 8 hour sessions.) Even if I did try and finish everything It would probably be at most another 24 hour. (Or 2 8 hour sessions.)

I've said it in other threads but I'll say it again, thank you for this great game! I anxiously await another Fallout but more importantly, TES related game.

I certainly hope they will do more games in the series :-) Also I have been convinced to try Fallout 3 (and related content) so will be getting that as soon as I am done with FNV. Spent over a day reading up on all the lore on WIKI. Really a great setting. Such a nice change of pace from all the fantasy I have been playing.

So far my favorite aspects of FNV has to be Boone's quest, the confirmed bachelor perk, survival skill and how there are so many different ways to do quests. I just entered the main city last night and learned about Mr. House, Yes-man and did the white glove quests. I loved how many options they gave for completing the rescue mission.

It is, indeed, a very fun game. And the first RPG ever that I will likely play through more than once.

Fo:nv might have some technical problems but it's gameplay gripped me for endless hours, more then fo3 was able to do. I like it alot.
Thanks for making a fallout world with interesting tales to explore.

I hope those who are having trouble getting the game to run will have the patience to hang in there. They will be amply rewarded. I usually don't even buy a game until after the first patch. FONV was an exception. Even though it has been a rocky start, I'm glad I didn't wait.

It also makes me feel good that this game has opened the rest of the series for your enjoyment. I moved from FO3 to OB and DA but I couldn't wait to get into FONV. I'm glad you are exploring the other-way-round. :vaultboy:

As a fan of the series since the original (and even Wasteland before that), I'd say "yes, very much so." IMO New Vegas delivers that in a way that no game has since Fallout 2.

let said the BOmb does not hit NV, why they name Fallout ?

Not every inch of the planet was nuked directly. Does that mean those places aren't part of the Fallout universe? Wouldn't the struggle to control things that are still intact after the war produce some of the more interesting stories?

Me too, they did an awesome job with this game. Not that I don't love Bethesda games, because I very much do (and am eagerly awaiting news re. TESV!), but I think Obsidian has the Fallout background and passion to do an even better job continuing this particular series.

Like I did in one of my threads I'd like to give my regards to Jorge "Oscuro" Salgado for his work in this game. He may have failed his grand mission to make Oblivion worth playing but he sure as hell made Fallout New Vegas more interesting in terms of gameplay.

I've had an amazing time with this game.
My best friend and I discuss it all the time and laugh about the things the characters say.
I'm not into first person shooters much but I love the roleplaying aspects of FNV and it's predecessors.
What a fun sandbox!
Can't wait to see the DLC as it looks like there are plenty of places to fit it in.
And like maybe I'll finally be able to get to the edge of the map :) ?

I'm glad your enjoying the game, it is good to hear that, however I feel as if the turn-based FO had something about them, especially in the plot. In NV and FO3, I get a small feeling that they are divided in writing it all - like all the writers have written their respective narrative and someone just slapped them all together - much like a group university report. It is still good, but for me there is just something missing.

I am sincerely glad however that you are enjoying it.
