[REL] RCRN - Realistic Colors and Real Nights- Thread#2

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 2:07 pm

DeSetuede, yeah.. A cloudy day/night will be a bit darker as a clear one e.g.

I use FXAA in game and RCRN together , and 2xAA , best results for me ^^

And Spiffyman is right, around 30 Places has Dynamic Interiors, he pretty much summed up what it does ^^

Balok, I hear you mate.. I done some minor Source Light fixing because of that.. I can understand why bethesda missplaced so much source lights from where the actual light source objects are. In a Vanilla wolrd, it isnt always noticeable, but when you darken up the wolrd with mods, you get to see such issues much clearely. ALone the Flicker Fogs/Shadows Issue, which is hard to see in vanilla, gets very noticeable with dark enviroments.

In ENBSeries 0.111 KAGE you can turn off all color processing, but leave other effects you need (in previous was also possible, but for advanced users). Set values in enbseries.ini:

UseOriginalPostProcessing=true
UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=true

EnableBloom=false
EnableAdaptation=false
if i not forgot something, then even ssao, depth of field, shadows will work. Don't remember, but perhaps SkyEnable=false also need to be set.

That sounds fanstastic, thanks for sharing!

Edit: Sadly it still changes something else, I get a much darker version when turning ENB on.

Is that with SSAO active on the ENB on shot?

How does one adapt an enb configuration to be RCRN-compatible?

I recently found an enb I like the look of (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=15826#content) and I'd like to make it work with RCRN. I will be turning off SSAO and HDR (ssao for performance boost and hdr because RCRN has it already). the 111 version of that config should be coming out soon (which is the version I'd like for the shadows, which incidentally fix shadow striping for me).

You'd most likely need to redo just about every value in the enbseries.ini if it's not designed with RCRN in mind or it'd probably end up looking quite different from both the default RCRN and that ENB setting with no RCRN.

ah, so it's a very complicated thing than huh? I was hoping it was something semi-simple I could work on, but I guess not. Too bad

No it's not very complicated, but you can't expect to get the same results as an ENB profile that is not setup to be using RCRN without changing it quite a bit. I mean, the values are all easy to change in the ini :)
