When you walk in on that mexican guy who is the rebel leader.

I had two of my little cousins (both under the age of 10) in the room at the time.

You probably skipped the cutscene, Skull. It started with John Marston walking into a building in Mexico really slowly, once you enter... Let's just say, if he were to invite you over for dinner, you best decline.

Ah yeah I remember now. It was something so not important I guess I forgot :P

Yah I think its been done and they called it called "fallout 3"

Feels the same, except its in 3rd person, theres horses, no alien tech and no over powered weapons like a gatling gun those are pretty much the only differences

Hardly. Red Dead is nothing like Fallout 3, it's more like GTA than anything.

setting wise they are the same

Fallout 3 - Big empty wasteland , few settlements western dressed people and weapons are very common , looks like a desert , mole rats and scorpions - desert creatures birds over head , lots of nothing ,

Have you even explored all of Red Dead yet? It's hardly just a desert.

By the Nine Divines this is pathetic.... how do you not get this? You are a Clint Eastwoodese outlaw and you just be a cool cowboy and follow the games instructions. A five year old would understand this, someone go fetch a five year old.

You keep comparing it to Fallout, and I still fail to see how they are alike. Just because Fallout is set in a desert and RDR has a desert section does not constitute them being anything alike.

You just contradicted yourself...

You need to see more of the game before you decide it's just like Fallout 3.

Just give it time, the environment is actually quite varied once you progress. The environment pretty much completely changes once you start getting towards the end of the game.

I fail to see how RDR is anything like Fallout 3. Fallout is set a couple hundred years in the future in a post apocalyptic wasteland on the East Coast. RDR is set a hundred years in the past in the Old West. Plus, RDR looks about a million times better than Fallout 3 does, and has a better story and ending.

I actually felt that Armadillo was more of a desert than Mexico. But then they used a really pretty palette for Mexico, especially with those really awesome sunsets paired with the cliffs.

I agree, entering Mexico is one of the prettiest moments in gaming. The grand vistas, the music, its just glorious....and I sound like a travel brochure.
