Well, it's not exactly The Da Vinci Code, is it? It's an open world game set in the wild west. If you've ever played GTA, you'd know what I mean. Just do missions until you finish the game. Between them, just have fun exploring and trying all the various side-quests and mini-games. Enjoy the soundtrack, the setting, and the story.

Free Roam. Sandboxing. Great Story. Nice combat mechanics. Hogtie people. Put said people on railroad tracks. Wait for train. Board train. Kill everyone on board. Follow the river back to town. Beat everyone at poker. Then shoot them. Rob a bank. Ride away laughing like a maniac. Kill a dead man. Ride on a flaming horse. Kill a sasquatch. Capture a unicorn!

What exactly is it that you don't get with this game? :)

well when it started there was a very long cutscene train ride where absolutly nothing happend the whole timei was exspecting a train robbery and it just didnt happen..

then after the 1st few minuits of riding a horse following soem guy in another cutscene you get shot and killed and at that moment i was like ok so now im dead ...

then im now at some farm having no idea what im supposed to be doing i pretty much failed shooting rabits and coyote they move too fast for me to aim and my settings on normal ...

game came with no instruction manual or fold out map :/

also in teh begining cut scene i sa w acar being offloaded onto teh dock ... can i find other "horse less carriages and drive them ? or was that just for show ?)

The farm is a bunch of training missions to get you used to how the game works. If you svck at the controls and can't shoot cayotes it means you haven't gotten used to them yet. When you play any video game theres a learning curve this game is no different.

edit:
The car is just for show, you get to sit in it during a cutscene later in the game but you never get to drive one. You can drive horses and carts which happens in a few missions time when you go down to the town with the farmer woman (I can't remember her name)

You're expecting too much of the game. You've only just begun, hell you've hardly even started to be honest. There are going to be some pretty kickass missions later on.

Can't remember if there's any train robberies, but you can always rob them yourself :)

One of my favorite things to do in Red Dead is to troll friends with the explosive rifle. :P

I also scared the crap out of a friend when we were having a long-range throwing knife fight. We both ran out of knives, but he didn't know I still had tomahawks. He then started arming the bomb at Pike's Basin and I put two tomahawks into the crate beside him. :P

So I don't make a new thread, and since this was asked, is this game multiplayer? I know you can play others online, but can I play with or agaisnt my family in split-screen?

If so I might get the game then.

No, I don't think it supports a split-screen feature. Sorry. :)

I've touched the MP and it has a fre roam world with various other players you can interact with. Looked wierd and I jumped out. Anyhow on topic, just play the game man. Get your hands dirty, skim through the manual and ride around the world kicking names and taking ass. Do some trial and error, punch a cougar, steal a cart and drive said cart off a cliff. HAVE SOME FUN BRAH.

Ah, bought it used. Always a mistake, even if it is cheeper.

Welp, break out the old gamers intuition and play it by the seat of your pants. I do it all the time, makes it more challenging.

Also, ingame theres a map on the start menu.

Ah yes Red Dead Multiplayer!

No words can describe how fun and badass it can be. Stormy night raining can’t see much me and my posses just cruising down the muddy road in the carriage. Lamps lit then I ask a member for map direction as we where chasing down another posse.

Soon enough "Boom" explosive rifle kills the horses dynamite, Molotov’s, gunfire erupts every from the hill above. Here is my posse sitting in the rain can’t see a thing but the muzzle fires from the hill above. Where bailing out trying to find cover shooting at what we though was the enemy.

Ah yes that game has brought me so much joy in life.

Tip: Just play the game; every game takes time to get used right away some do not.

I loved Red Dead multiplayer too. I was enjoying it a lot but about 2 weeks into it my Xbox died. The best thing about it was like joining gangs and fighting the other gang. I remember one great time I had when we were in that fort with the canons and stuff and we were fighting over control over it. One of the best multiplayer experiences I have ever had.

I LOL'd, a lot.

Best post ever. Sig worthy even.

That is if this forums' sig parameters were longer than 3 words. After cutting so much of your quote off to get it to fit in the parameters set by Beth it lost all meaning and hilarity and was not even worth sigging. :sadvaultboy:

El Presideo

Yes posse fort battles are a blast, I tend to like organizing a posse to posses CALVERY charge.

That’s a rush, bullets going everywhere as two posses clash in an epic battle on horses.

Then the damn spawns ruin everything.

One of the best games of recent years, though slow to start. When you get a bit further into it, you'll love it.

This is not a family game, there is a six scene and you dont seem to approve of that stuff. Also implied [censored], lighting people on fire (though that can be entertaining ) and other stuff.

Its not split screen iirc, and multiplayer isnt that great anyway.

When entering cheats

does it have to be all in "RAGE CAPS"

do i need the periods and apostrophes and the things that show up beteen n and t in don't ?? and I'M ??

gamefaqs forums are totally unhelpful :/ getting flamed because i dare say i dont like western themes over all because i find them slow paced and most western movies ive watched ive fallen asleep half way through ...
