I'd rather have Fallout 2 characters returning (Even though there's a 40 year timegap) since I don't know which Fallout 3 characters except BoS are capable of traveling across the US.

seeing how *other * is high will you guys stop putting your opinions first and start saying that these kind oif games make people values and opinions are wide varied and vast. So will you stop trying to put them in a box.

I'm guessing that Fawkes could make the trip.
He'll probably hear about super mutants from west and could be curious enough to try and find a place where mutants are better than his V87 brethren.
He also has the survival skills to be able to traverse the continent.

Not that I like Fawkes or would want him but he could go to Vegas if he wanted to.
He'd have to go through Arizona though, might help get some Legion lore from him.

I don't want anyone from Fallout 3 in a DLC, how would they get from Washington D.C. to New Vegas in three years? Unless they turn north and travel through Wyoming, their route goes directly through Legion territory, which highly reduces the chances of anyone not strong enough continuing. (However, if they have survived this far, they should be very tough already)

Not in Tactics, and in FO2 he was an easter Egg.
The real Dogmeat was only in FO1, and he died in it too.

No one. Don't connect east and west any more than they are already connected. A character that is brought back for fan service should at least be brought plausibly, like Marcus, or Doc Henry.

Plus I don't think that the Courier meeting the Lone Wanderer won't work out because of the story before it was altered by Broken Steel. *ahem*

If they do it right, they should probably include someone who couldn't be killed, or probably wasn't killed. Like the dog, 3Dog etc. Maybe Fawkes, come to see Jacobstown.

Would love to see more western BoS chapters in game. They would make sense in the big empty if its truly a graveyard of old world tech like Elijah says.
