Roleplayers: how does your character feels about being Drago

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 11:09 pm

Vriddi gra-Yildnarz is a bit puzzled by it all. How can she be the Dragonborn? But she takes it seriously, is trying to find out what it means and decide what she should do.
Griselda Coldheart thinks neat, if these saps think shes their saviour she will play along and see what opportunities come out of it.

who is a dragonborn? cant be black-birds-cry, he is but a simple argonian assassin out for revenge and the fall of an empire (the imperial one in fact), okay it might be that simple to bring about the end of an emprie but the thalmor are a big help!! (of course black-birds-cry knows their plan so he will assasinate everything above a foot soldier [cant kill the entire army can i?] in one night to stop their pathetic plans, after the emprie problem is solved of course)

My Breton is a tribesmen, and at first he found it tough to accept who he really is. Asking the Gods why they chose him, but if this is his path then he will fulfill his destiny with honor.

2 out of 5 of my characters don't know they are Dragonborn, 2 of them doesn't give a flying [censored] about it and the one remaining has not better things to do that... dragonborning around.

What about the 2 characters who don't know they're Dragonborn? Are they staying clear of the MQ? How do you justify they're able to learn words from the dragon walls?

 "I-I'm just a traveler... Not some kind of mythical hero... I'M NOT READY FOR THIS KIND OF RESPONSIBILITY!!"
*runs off and spend most time traveling the land and avoid responsibility*

My character humbly accepts this as her heritage and realises she holds immense responsibility having such power and intends to use to for the benefit of all as best as she is able.

Very annoyed, because he is soft-spoken and hates having to shout dragon words when he's forced to.

So he mostly sticks to not talking and just using weapons and magic.

...Just imagined being in a library in real life and whispering 'fus ro dah' and books and computers flying everywhere.

My argonian doesn't even realize he is Dragonborn yet and figures the glowing word walls are just some kind of useless memory enchantment.
Hell when Gerdur told him to go to Whiterun he thought it was more safer to go to Falkreath first for supplies, and just forgot about her request.
So he now just continues his ignorant explorer's life of scholarly pursuit with currently being none the wiser of his eventual fate.

My Nord Paladin, Adrin was born in Cyrodiil. When his parents passed away, he decided to explore every corner and sceneries of Skyrim which his parents always mentioned about. There are so many places to travel which leads to he learn about the truth of Dragonborn in rather late times. He joins The Companions and a series of unexpected events leads him to become the latest Harbinger. He enter the College of Winterhold to study Restoration magic and after the event of Eye of Magnus and he has been reluctantly elevated as the Arch-mage. He stumbles across the shrine of Meridia, he agrees with the purpose of Meridia and become his champion (Though he wishes he can unite with his shield-brothers and sisters in Sovngarde afterlife)

There are still have a lot of places to explore, a lot of undead to eliminate, a lot of tasks he need to perform for the Companions and Winterhold College and a lot of nice house to purchase. Also, there is an outbreak of Civil War and he eventually will join the Legion to fight the Stormcloaks as he understand the Empire is the last defense against the Thalmor. There are so many things to do and there are no room for Dragonborn business. He is capable with sword and shield that he always forgets to use the Shouts.

My second character, the Breton Spellword, River. He stumbles upon the shouts when he agrees to help the merchant in Riverwood to recover his stolen golden claw. He takes a practical view towards the Shouts. It is just another "spells" which are useful when he is out of magicka. He recalls there is a time when he fights a bandit chief within a cave, he and Lydia are mortally wounded and is no match for the enemy. He invokes the Unrelenting Force subconsciously which causes the bandit chief to slip. River and Lydia take up the chance and slay the chief.
