Why do rappers refer to themselves with words you wouldn't dare call them to their faces?

funny you say that... because that's all New Vegas was as far as graphics and gameplay go: ripped fallout 3 content, slightly altered and called original.

Yes, every game should have a new engine and entirely unique assets... just because. No reason. I only like novel things.

It's almost like a joke, but not quite there until you sip cola where it ambushs your mouth and punchs that little punching bag in the back of your throat causing you to vomit or gag all that drink out.

I love when people blindly call it "rip off", seriously, think it twice before saying things like that, it just pure ignorance

-Screams in frustration and rips my pants off-

DON'T MOST OF THE PEOPLE DEFENDING THIS THREAD SAY THAT WHEN FALLOUT 3'S PLOT IS MENTIONED? :bonk:

Why? more easy to reuse the same resource rather then create a new one

Because Bethesda wanted it to use the same engine and only tweak it a little

But nevermind the Geckos, Cazadores, Ghost People, and other NPC from both main and DLC games right?, how unoriginal

(sarcasm)

I lol'd at this pretty hard. Thank you. I don't even need to explain how dumb your replies sounded. (No offense.. >.<)

Zion has bears, Yao Guai are mutant bears, hence Yao Guai in Zion.

However, seeing as how there's like, no radiation in Zion, at all, maybe some un-mutated bears would've been better. Just use the same model with a new texture. It could work. Also, I thought the Yao Guai were called that because of how many Chinese spies were in DC, and the name stuck. How a bunch of isolated tribals would come up with the same name is anyone's guess.

But whatever. Not a big deal.

The fallout would probably have reached Zion from the urban nuclear targets in the region, and the atmospheric FEV from the Glow leak probably contributed to the change.

I have no problem with reusing, but I hate how it feeds the universal wasteland naming we see. It was bad in Fallout 3 when ghouls were called ghouls (even self-describing as ghouls) and Super Mutants were called Super Mutants. It seems like an area so far off wouldn't use the same name for them. I suppose the Brotherhood must have carried over terms like that, but why would the ghouls that they shoot on sight call themselves what they call them? The best hope for Yao Guai in HH making sense naming-wise is imagining that it was a pre-war term that used to describe bears and was all over. Of course this is a little thing, but it does bother me when I actually think about it.

For the name, the Sorrows' ancestors had books and may have coined the term. The Survivalist was also apparently a former U.S. Marine, and may have had a passing knowledge of Chinese, and may have coined the term himself and taught it to the Sorrows in his notes.

New weapons with same reload animations as the LMG.
New armor (ranger combat armor that still has clipping weapons through the coat)
New characters that can also be created in the GECK.
New scenery? Hmm, a mellow yellow.
I canz createz perkz as well.
New dialogue HELL YES.
New Endslides HELL YES.

End.

Edit: Anyways, is it true that if you have WW the Green Geckos become aliens?

By that logic you should never buy any dlc, because you could just make it in the GECK...

Fallout did hit Zion pretty hard for a little while. Read the survivalist's journal entries.

As to why it's completely free of radiation *now* I can't really say.

Not talking about that.

You said you were "hoping for something new."

When someone listed the new things, you said that they don't matter because you could have made them in the GECK.

Your original post was like 4 pages back, and has no importance in this matter.

I'm going to lunch.

The only thing I could have made in GECK was

"New characters that can also be created in the GECK."

The rest can be found at the nexus although it isn't as polished as the DLC. What I'm pointing out is that a DLC for a new game like this should reuse other assets from previous games. I really don't think Mass effect 2 used the same enemies over again in their dlc's. Don't get me wrong, I did state that the story and slide screens were great but for it to be amazing, they should have at least reskinned the yao guai.

EDIT: Then again, I might as well stop being so picky about the DLC due to the fact that the rain is pretty epic. It's too bad it isn't in the mojave.
