Skyrim is almost as repetitive as Oblivion.

I don't find Oblivion's dungeons much worse than Skyrim's, they weren't at least so linear and unnecessary long.

I wonder if the dungeons were shorter, how many posts we would see saying " the dungeons are too short"....... I have seen some pretty silly complaints on these forums, but saying the dungeons are too long has got to be the most bizaar yet. As for Linear..... well I can honestly say after maybe 20 years of computer gaming, Skyrim is the least linear game I have ever played. I have seen huge variety in my dungeons, but then I guess that shows you how most people's games seem to be completely different from the next..... very Linear :bunny:

Here's my story. I loved the game for the first 100+ hours. I didn't progress in the story too much. The last thing I did was the quest called Alduin's Wall.
Then I got bored. Now I started playing other games for a while. I'm downloading a Fallout DLC right now.

Just give Skyrim a break. It'll come back.

I don't know if I have ever played an RPG that isn't repetitive. Some do a better job than others at making the repetition fun.

It's a RPG where the core tends to be go to place, explore place, kill xxx, grab xxx, return home for tea and biscuits.

If you expected anything else then you didn't want an RPG when you bought it sorry.

The first few days of Skyrim were a blast. I didn't play nonstop like other people, maybe like 3 hours a day. But even then, I started getting bored with it. I didn't want to admit it though because when the Skyrim trailer came out, I was hoping it would be the rpg that broke my boredom. I talked to my friends about it, and they too are getting bored with Skyrim.

I was hoping that this game wouldn't be repetitive, but after several days, it became just that. Of course it's not as repetitive as Oblivion, but the dungeons in Skyrim all look the same. I thought there would be a lot more creatures, weapons, armors, and uniqueness but there is not. A lot of the quests are very repetitive and boring also. Skyrim to me just isn't that epic as I thought it would be. I would rate it a 7.5/10. Maybe me and my friends are just [censored]. Does anyone else feel this way?

it is.. made me very disappointed like many other things. i want to make new characters but i never get past riverwood, the thought of doing it all over again just forces me to shut it down. the radient quests are a joke.. get like 12 different quests inside the same house in a row just isnt something for me. like the factions really svck, expected alot more.. and the thing that people dosnt recognize you as they should totally ruins it for me.. so for now i am waiting for DLC or some major changes, otherwise i won't be playing this game in a very long time.

The dungeons in Skyrim... each of them is unique to me! I am always happy when I see new dungeons because I know each of them will be an entirely new experience with a story about it.

The only repetitive questlines are the Companions and Civvy Questlines. Even then, I had fun with them.
Find something you enjoy doing. I like finding stuff that looks cool to put up in Hjerim. Takes a good long time before I find anything worth displaying in my museum

Now don't get me wrong here I love Bioware, but let me sum up Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and KotoR in a few steps

!- PLOT
2- COMBAT
3- start at one and repeat

Its the plot that makes bioware games so entertaining and so great at masking the repetition

Agreed 100%. I love Bioware games but playing them more than once is painful. It doesn't matter how different your characters are, you're dropped into the same quests, in the same order as before. In fact, finishing Bioware games has always been bittersweet for me.
