Yeah, just imagine the possibilities if the game didn't succumb to the dreaded Consolitis disease...

If Bethesda peoples are still keeping tabs, one thing I would suggest for future games:

Have your game jam BEFORE the product is finished. Really, as soon as the game reaches a point where it's really playable, have a game jam, and see what your brilliant developers can come up with when left to their own devices. I'd be willing to be that you'd find some things that should really be included in the game.

Consolitis is a myth. The Witcher is a PC exclusive and doesn't have more features than Skyrim. The same way that Dark Souls is currently a console exclusive and has more compelling boss fights.

The speech in its entirety was interesting and, starngely enough, very Todd-esque.
I haven't seen such a consensual Forum since, what?, Skyrim's announcement?

Seriously, just implement every darn thing but the odd-looking vampiresque sillyness,
but

FOCUS ON DEEP STORYTELLING

as no ammount of underwater special effects or pointy weapons will ever take its place.

If they created entirely new perk trees, why can't modders currently do that with the CK?

Yup.

Jam first thing in da process.
And extend the Jam session for two months.

TES VI would be mudcrab'o'lific.

OP list is missing the GIANT FREAKIN' MUDCRAB at the end. :ermm:

Also, they can't game jam if they don't have a game to jam on. So "jam first in the process" doesn't work.

the point is.. all of these mods are very good.. but seriously spears only???

the first mod has to be werebear with lycantropy skill tree.. or just make a pure shapeshifter tree where you can become almost any animal, except troll

p.s. they should sersiously consider making heavy MB dlc with much content for money(ppl will buy it and we all know devs wont work for free as much as they will for money)

It's an RPG, you should forge your own stories. It would be good if the guilds had a little more detail, or the main quest was more engaging, but someone like me who just plays the game to waste some time, it's not a priority.

On my part, that was obviously meant as a j...
I was extending the notion of a premature jam session ad absurdum.

Sure you catch my drift.

I agree, maybe a couple of the high end graphic effects may be a problem but pretty much everything else is fair game.
Whether they add this stuff in through being part of a larger amount of content as buyable DLC or just fritter the little things in through free patches, everyone should get it and none of this waiting till Xbox has had it for a month crap either.

I loved everything in the gamejam video its hard to say what I liked most I mean the lycanthropy tree was nice because I dont go werewolf anymore because frankly at high levels its more likely to get me killed than save my life, and vampires well other than the feeding "upgrade" the winged thing was pretty cool my first impression of vampires in skyrim was like oblivion they werent fun and lacked a real benefit I mean at least in game jam it looked like you could force feed on anyone for most part, other than that those dungeons catwalks, elevator and pitch black dungeons all looked sweet, Spears, etc obviously dragon mounts would have to either be expensive/high level or be gained through a drawn out quest.....for the most part I thought everything in the video was awesome I would be happy with the majority of things being added to the game though obviously water effects, changing seasons/weather, but it all was cool and if it adds more to the game and makes it have more replay value/selling value lol besides all that crap looked awesome and being on console means for most part we get to watch pc users get mods and toys we'll never see but from what I saw in the vid well lets hope bethesda throws us all a big shiny bone here I for one would like to get all I saw in that video....

why would it be free, it is dev time and dev work with new ideas that they didn't have time for in the original release. that's dlc. so it'll cost something, and we'll pay it.

I'm not going to pay for "niche" features. I want a new well-designed questline with a new area to explore that includes these features on the side.

The problem is as far as i see it is that MS and Sony dont tend to put out free DLC (and as far as i know MS never do) so PC would be the likely one for it to be free on.

this is uncharateristic of me but

If you don't want to pay for niche features (trust me I understand I hate money grubbing) why do you want them free?
