Skyrim gave me an A+ on my essay!

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 5:43 am

He could explain in a little more detail what he did exactly. From his opening post it sounds like he transcribed word for word the opening and first few quests from the game. Maybe if he'd give a bit more into what he wrote and how it was done it might help his case.
That's the thing though. He doesn't have a case to defend. He wrote an essay based on Skyrim and got an A+. People start to be all high and mighty on him so why would he respond? People (not all and I'm not pointing finger) seem to have made up their mind already.

I think you are right. He/She wants to show his joy and luck and maybe wanted to say kind of "Thank you" and share it. I think He/she never thought there could be such a heavy discussion.

Hmm. I just went back and re-read the OP. Looks like starting this thread was his first and so far his only post on this forum.

If you guys read what he wrote, he already convicted himself just by saying `She fell for it`.

He tricked her and got an A for it. If he hadn`t he wouldn`t try to come off all clever and he would`ve been more clear about how much work he had to do.

It`s clear why he`s stayed away. He`s probably scared someone in his class might just find out now.

I don't think that's what's keeping from the forum.

Why does the OP no longer reply?
Why do others reply?
Why did I just reply?

Nevermind.

When I took World Religions a few years ago we had to make an actual sand mandala. I based mine on the Nine Divines and used the symbols of each of the Divines. It went over quite well.

I can see someone didn't do their homework...

As for the OP, he's a cheater. Who cares, though, really?

And on the subject of gaming popularity... My best friend is a high school teacher and he's told me that from the time we were high schoolers (ten years ago), the popularity of gaming has exponentially increased. Gaming is no longer a nerdy pastime.

Well, the correct response was "That's not argument. It's merely contradiction." Or, am I the only one who remembers that old Monty Python sketch about the guy who went looking for an argument. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQFKtI6gn9Y

Yes we do!

You see, that's not argument. It's just contradiction. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes.

Obvioulsy not if people are supporting their position by quoting from a 40 year old Monty Python skit. Although I am amazed how often people try to pass contradiction off as argument these days.

Yup, intellectual property rights, OP is probably hiding from Beths legal commandos.

Was that one of the 8% of sketches that were funny or one of the others? Then again, I don't like the 8%, anyway. Don't know why I'm commenting... Monty Python has just never done it for me...

intellectual rights? yes.

op hiding? maybe.

legal commandos? i'd lose all respect for beth in one second if they actually pursued a kid making a mistake.

teach a lesson, sure. actual legal ramifications? i'd despise beth instantly. all cases are different and should be treated, as such.

Blasphemy! How can you not laugh at the Vorpol Bunny of Caerbannog? The Holy Hand Granade of Antioch? The Knights who say Ni? The perils of the Brave Sir Robin (who bravely ran away)? The mighty and powerful enchanter Tim? The Black Knight? And that is all just from one movie. Don't get me started on Life of Brian -- You Just Gotta Look on the Bright Side of Life. Bearded Women. Stonings. Not to mention Haggling! Why did they have to cut haggling out of Skyrim? Everytime I go to a merchant in Skyrim I am thinking: "This bloke won't haggle."

A good percentage of any Bethesda game can be traced right back to Monty Python, sir. Right down to the sound effects they use for the horses. I swear the sound effect of horses in Skyrim is copied straight from Holy Grail, coconuts and all.

EDIT: We appologize. The person responsible for this post was just sacked.
