The point went well over your head.
I guess....

EDIT : So what exactly was that? Since I am elderly and feeble minded I need a little help.

I stopped reading at "I've done everything possible". One does not simply finsih Skyrim. Do all the side quest, find all the skill books, max your level (if you have already) and then comeback and tell me you've done everything!

I guess....

The point was, the game should challenge us; we shouldn't be adding our own personal restrictions to try and find fun or challenge.

"Stealth makes you overpowered! The game is more fun if you just don't take Stealth!"

That is a dumb mindset.

I see...Although Stealth is probably not the best example. I think Stealth is fine the way it is.

Playing DID is not just about setting personal limits or gimping your char, for the challenge part. Those elements are implemented by ones for RPing as well. Different people play it for different reasons and some refuse to play it at all.

Like making a super-uber-duber and perks selection. It's your choice.

DiD is fine, I have no problem with that.

My commentary was directed at the people who are seemingly against the game being balanced.

I.e. People have said Perks in Stealth + amazing weapons due to Smithing and Enchanting make the game too easy.

People then rebut with "well just don't use those and the game is fine, try having fun instead!"

The above is a very dumb argument.

Gotcha! I seemed to have been confused on where that was directed.

Dude strip naked and kill a bear

Then cut off its head and punch a child with it

Then roast your nuts on a fire place and tell dragons to f**k themselves

It's Skyrim man freedom yeah freedom

Your idea freaking beats my idea of running up an insanely high bounty :lmao:

the problem darksideeric-

is that your point has been hashed and rehashed over and over every day by people, including, me. i actually agree that the game on master difficulty should be difficult throughout the game, though, the option to suboptimally develop my character and customize the game should always be available. so, in a sense, you're arguing with someone who has a foot on your side of the line.

as well, your interjection with that comment was out of place, since, that was not the topic being discussed. my response was an absolute legitimate answer to his very specific question. you brought in an outside subject that has many threads already in play.

severe suboptimal character building.

My response was a direct counter point to the first quote.

"I'm not having fun anymore, what can I do?" is the topic of the discussion.

Your point was offered.

My point was to infer that yours may not be a way to have fun in the game, thus the OP would still have a valid gripe.

OP is not happy, you provided a solution, I provided a point that shows your solution may not bring the OP happiness.

Start a new character? Discover every location on the map?

Or collect and read all the books in the game.

You mentioned that you got all 50 achievements for Skyrim and got bored. Seems like you play games for achievements only. Which is ok, just guess it's time for you to get a new game.

the fact that he may not have fun playing the style i suggested is assumed.

the inference you offer, is therefore, pointless.

the original question was not to offer a suggestion and debate whether or not it would bring happiness. you went outside the subject matter by commenting on my suggestion and didn't even offer your own.

Yet I did, and my gameplay is much better for it.

Of course, the other option is to refuse to, then to not enjoy playing the game, and then share that on the forums, redundantly and annoyingly and all over the place.

Who has the dumb mindset again?

Because currently I agree with the OP, or is agreeing with them not allowed to be touched on?

And I did offer my own. Other people have said "play another game." I said "wait until Mass Effect 3 comes out," inferring that he may not have fun with Skyrim anymore until after a lengthy break.

Yet I did, and my gameplay is much better for it.

You. As you keep replying to people who seem to annoy you. Your gameplay is much better, that does not mean the same holds true for all of us.

Ok, so as of yesterday I have all 50 achievements for the xbox 360, and frankly, the game has lost all interest to me. I have beat the MQ, Thieve's Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Mage's College, Companions, andall the Daedric quests. I've done everything possible and I hate redoing things in another playthrough because I know exactly what is going to happen. Does anyone have any suggestions for any activities that can make this game fun for my again? Thank you for your time.

The near complete lack of player agency is why you feel this. I feel the same way myself as nothing I do in a new game will change how the game plays from my previous run. I haven't played but one of the guild quest though, as i am waiting for the CK to arrive.

Play something else? Games lose their luster. It's probably high time to move onto something else.

Had Skyrim offered more role playing where choices mattered in the quests and story, playing it a few times more would have been more interesting. The NPCs lack of knowing who I am after doing major quests or taking a side is game breaking. Heck I chose the SC side and finished it, can wear SC armor, and Imperials don't react to me as such. Nords calling me a foreigner in my own land, though I am a Nord? Talking to people as a Khajiit and they talk to me like I am a human. It's those kinds of things that makes the re-playability of Skyrim unappealing.
