Holy sh*t, those dudes are f*cking fast. Can anyone tell me, why Beth hasn't hired some of them? Even though they took it off again, just to put it up again in 10 minutes for the beta. ^^

I seem to have missed the whole thing. My TESV.exe hasn't been touched since the 22nd.

I was on earlier playing TF2 as well.

Steam only downloads updates when you're "idle"--not currently playing a game in other words. So if you were playing TF2 while all this lunacy occurred, it makes sense you wouldn't have gotten the updates at all. (Since 1.5.26 was sent out and then just as quickly rescinded.)

Actually, that build of SKSE has existed for a few days. They've done a stealthy 1.5.26 update followed by a rollback before already, which is when the SKSE team made their update.

So is it a beta patch or no? I mean I have been signing up for each Beta but I'm not going to if I don't even know what it fixes or adds.

I got the 1.5 patch...met some draugr who were only in electric blue glowing wireframe [some kind of spectral dog too]...made finding them easy...then I got the newer steam patch when I logged off.

I'll go play and see what they look like now!

I was doing something else online and got a "Steam has updated Skyrim" message. Okay.

Half hour later I got the same message again. I was already running 1.5, now today I get TWO updates 30 minutes apart? Odd.

Gonna see if they have fixed the creation kit with the patch, or something...

Although I didn't get a patch for some reason. Kill moves with arrows, yes, but not an update after that (1,5)

Update notes are now up on the BETA forum.

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1361627-beta-update-1526/

Today we’ve released a new Skyrim beta update, version 1.5.26, that introduces the following fixes:

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed issue with frequency of first person kill cameras
  • Underwater effects now display properly
  • Fixed crash when loading certain plugins
  • Fixed issue where sun would not appear properly after fast travel
Note: As we recently said in the latest Bethesda Podcast, the latest Creation Kit update resolves reported issues with navmeshing. Recently we’ve discovered a change made to 1.5’s executable for support of the navmesh fix caused CTDs for users loading mods. As a result, we’ve removed the executable change in this beta update.

If you’re experiencing CTDs as a result of Tuesday’s 1.5 release, we recommend opting into the 1.5.26 Beta Update. And for the navmesh fix, the team is currently investigating the issue.

Hmm, I wonder what the first one means.. Because I've had very few first person kill cameras as is, so if they fix a frequency in a way that makes them more rare, it'll be epic fail. I hope it's the other way around.

There was an issue with frequency of first person Kill-Cams? I always play first person and didn't know of an issue.

I have on occasion got archery kill cams even though the arrow missed, so maybe that's what they have fixed. :)

Doesn't every patch release come with a change log that can be accessed from Steam?
They used too but haven't since the big patch back in December.

My game hasn't updated since I entered the Beta for 1.5...

Do I have to unsubscribe from the Beta to be able to upgrade properly?

The new patch is a beta that apparently was mistakenly released to all first. To get the new beta patch you must subsrcibe to beta in Steam. (You are automatically unsubscribed when the real patch is released so you must subscribe to every new beta patch).
