The mods are what keeps me playing TES games for more than 100 hours, IMO Bethesda makes a really nice framework of a game and the modding community fills all the gaps. ^.^

I wish I had Skyrim on PC for the mods, I love the Xbox version but the PC version just kills it because of the mods. I may go out and buy a copy of skyrim for PC when I can afford to.

Mods are amazing. I've been a console gamer for the longest time, but for the last year or so I've been tinkering with the PC versions (my laptop barely runs Oblivion though). The results in gameplay can be astounding (I don't touch graphics stuff except MGE for Morrowind). I can barely play the console versions of Morrowind and Oblivion anymore because I've tailored the PC versions so much to my tastes.

It's the whole reason I'm saving up to by a high end gaming rig.

I can't wait for the CK to come out, even though I play on xbox, because there is a way to make mods go on the xbox version if you know how. :D
Best of both worlds. ;P

I hate playing on the PC cos I lack a controller, after playing xbox, keyboard is just meh. I'd rather have a joystick to control movement than 4 buttons. :/ Just me?

Wireless controller.

If Skyrim supported the Logitech G25 racing wheel I'd be set. But I feel that controlling my character with a wheel and pedals is probably more weird than buttons.

And btw Aggy the so-called Fox, your sig is the best arrow-to-knee joke I have seen so far. :P

I don't really mean to be confrontational, but vote with your wallet. TES has a great history of enabling the modding community and you have a pretty good set of history to draw on about great looking, and game play mods that can enhance your experience. By initially buying the Xbox, you become demographic data. Surveys keep saying the PC is dying, people don't want expensive hardware, and there aren't a lot of great reasons that Bethesda needs to out of their way to make sure that textures are cutting edge, or that it works with a mouse and keyboard, and so on.

There are a lot of reasons that consoles are good, and as many reasons that consoles are bad. Same for the PC. Decide what is the best for you and make your choice.

Mostly, i've just stuck with the reskinning mods, the mods i'm looking forward to require the CK to be done so i haven't looked at the selection too hard yet. And besides, it'll take months or years for the good, comprehensive overhauls and content mods to be finished.

Ah, okay. But there is a cheap part you can buy for the PC to plug in a wireless Xbox controller too. And my sig is a mixture of the Jay-Z 99 problems meme mixed with the arrow to the knee meme, so it's 2x the awesome. =3

I would hope by now the console gamer's vote has already been cast, I really don't see why there isn't a legitimate way to install mods for the consoles. Since the introduction of the steamworks mod loader it seems easy enough to enable a similar system for Xbox live or whatever the heck the PS3 online system is called.

Excuse me, but how are these mods changing the game and where will I find them?

And how do I get rid of this annoying line in my posts?

So noob!

Also, you can't justify spending a few hundred on a PC, but can you justify spending hundreds of hours playing a video game? Regardless of the hardware? ;P

Aggy: Yeah, when I first saw your sig I read it through, then read it again in tune to the song. :P

Check the mods section of this forum and http://www.skyrimnexus.com for the mods. Every mod does a different thing, but eventually there'll be a mod for pretty much anything you want to add or change.

As for the overlining, check that the -S- button on the top of the message box is not pressed.

I preach, preach, preach to every gamer I know to buy Bethesda games on PC. The modding community makes the game great. I'm glad you've seen the light.

I wonder how often you do that and get called a PCgamer elitist? I know it happens on these forums.

Thank you ToJKa, how simple, but yet difficult to understand for a new user.

I haven't even finished the game yet, but after I do, I will look into some mods. It's just so difficult to grasp right now, any stable and reliable mods out there?

It seems easy enough, but it will never happen with Microsoft nor Sony. They problems it could cause, which have been stated many times, will keep it from ever happening.

Yep, the mods are awesome. Unfortunately I now started modding my game and now I do what I did with all previous TES games: More modding than playing. Which is....good...or not? Can't decide :P.

I can't stand controllers, i'm a bumbling mess with them, give me mouse and keyboard all day long. But I suppose its what you grow up with.
