all RPGs (should) aim to be as close to the sims as possible in their own world (exclduing some of those needs and ability to control more than one person, thats a little overboard) because sims could be the greatest rpg ever in a better enviroment and with a better prospective

Im sorry folks but whoever thought this was a sim game needs to smarten up.Why is everyone crying about trival things such as not being able to be a tranny, or adopt kids or be into polygamy or the most minute and useless things. This is a fantasy role playing game, not a SIM. Just take the game as it is and love it because Skyrim truely is a wonderful game!

Yeah its a role playing game and what if you wanted to role play as a father or mother?? Not that I do, just saying.

And what if I wanted to roleplay as a traveling prosttute?
Or how about as a fisherman who sails?
Or how about a Bear Trainer?
Or how about swabbing the deck on a pirate ship?
Or how about being a slave?
Or how about....

See how this becomes a problem?

"I want to be X!"
"I want to be F!"
"I want to be S!"
"I want to be Y!"
"I want to be Z!"
"I want to be C!"

Well, I think Bethesda understands we all want to be a lot of things. But they have a limited amount of time, money and resources to develop a game and they can't squeeze everything (literally) into the game.

Being able to get married in this game is really weird.

At the very most, they should focus on making your companions have back-story like in Fallout New Vegas. They already published a game made by Obsidian that does it, why couldn't they have incorporated it into Skyrim?

That is the kind of feature that is acceptable and is relevant to an RPG game, not stuff like marriage.

skyrim wanted to go realistic but they failed.. they shouldn't of bothered.. the game would of been a lot more fun if they didnt do that..

Theey did remove the acrobats and high jumping that was existent in Oblivion

And you know I think its important that the woman characters can have a [censored] too. Its their right. Troll troll troll.

There is zero forced backstory in New Vegas. The only thing they gave you: You are a Courier. You have delivered many packages. That's it. That tooootally ruins RP :P

Well. If it serves the narrative to have some forced backstory then I'm all for it.
And New Vegas' was tangible enough to allow me to play as whatever I wanted to.

Yep. Giant forced backstory.

You went here, created a town becuase of it, went somewhere, found some thing, came back, they fixed it, killed everyone, Ulysses hunted you down and set into motion THE ENITRE BASE GAME.

When the entire base games plot is becuase of a ofrced backstory its kinda important.

All you did was deliver packages to the Divide. You didn't LITERALLY create the town, your deliveries created the town into a prosperous community. You don't even know what Ulysses is ranting about at first. Which is the point, the Divide was just a job for you. Remember a street that a mailman delivers to. 6 months later, ask him about the delivery made to that street. See what his reaction is. Most likely, "huh?"

So? Going places and delivering things sounds a lot like you're a.... Courier? Oh, that's right. You've been a courier since the game was announced. It's a lot more loose than Fallout 3's forced backstory.

Wait a minute. This is the Skyrim forum. Anyway, yeah. Bethesda can't compensate for everybody. So.

I'd rather they fix the atrocious questlines first rather than bother about children; in fact i'd almost rather children werent added. Its like children are given annoying lines on purpose. Not to mention 2 of the biggest buggers are in whiterun.

But people only tend to read half my posts and then assumptins based off of the half readings.

Because adding things like this (besides being a tranny) is what constitutes the RP in RPG. What makes it even more amazing is that these features are OPTIONAL to the individual player. They're not harming your personal gaming experience unless, for example, they were forced upon you in the main quest.

I'd rather them have it in the game and poorly implemented than not having it at all. Hopefully they'll expand and improve on these features in future titles. But to cut/leave content in a RPG is no different than putting a tux on a tranny... wait, I mean putting utters on a bull.... damn it, I mean cutting off the lush at 3am.

Nevermind, I can't get it right.

I'm upset that dentistry, scrapbooking, and mini-putt were not given skill tree perks and corresponding mini-games. You blew it, Bethesda!! How can this game simulate an open-ended world without dentistry, scrapbooking, and mini-putt.

Well, PC players at least can have trannies if they should so wish.

Just open your console, click an NPC and type sixchange.

I kid you not. Lol. :D

Why can I not choose the size of my [censored]? What if I want it to be enormous and sheathe it by throwing it over my shoulder? What if I want an associated perk tree called Testosterone and you skill it up by having wild threesomes while benching 300lbs and discussing manly topics? Damnit, Bethesda, you can't make an RPG worth a [censored].
