-Skyrim has the same graphics technical wise then Oblivion had. It art style was way off and didn't fit into elder Scrolls very much.
-Applies to art style as said previously
-I don't know what to make of this part.. other mechanics are shared across Skyrim and Oblivion certianly didn't feel like a medieval "simulation" at any way you look at it.
Now to just reply to your post in awhole Graphics do not really define a game within the series especially one such as Oblivion because Oblivion at the time was often reffered as a "state of the art" in graphics overall it as various peices such as the imperial palace that looks like concept art (at the time) the 360 was fairly new if you compared it to Morrowind or pretty much previous games on the Xbox this was true up until Crysis came out a year after. Sadly in Skyrim this does not happen very often only the mountains at a far looks like such several games have done a lot better in that regard of course Beth cant really do anything about this because they are being chained down to the same system they created Oblivion for that is pretty damn old and making this the longest generation of consoles there is.
What are you talking about? This game personifies TES as a whole, they got rid of all that RPG nonsense and now it's perfect.
It is far from perfect various mechanics did help TES but are being streamlined and cater to a more "easy going" audiance having little to none choice or depth or even a reason to think
