Skyrim Redone

Like the title says, this mod will save Skyrim (for me at least) and I feel like I have to make people aware of it.

SkyRe - Skyrim Redone
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286

I know there's alot of Skyrim fans here that will never think Skyrim is a weak TES game.

I'm a huge fan of TES and Morrowind is my best RPG experience, but Skyrim to me just does not deliver anything but a pretty world.

This mod makes Skyrim 10 times the game, and just as I felt I had no reason to play this game again, this mod comes along and gives the game new life.

I'm not a big fan of mods, small mod projects to be exact - as I feel that it alters the game balance, so that it wont play the way it was meant to.

This however makes it a different game, a better game.
Bethesda should take note.

Then I shall continue to stand vigilant, waiting for a mod that will be the hero of a generation of Elder Scrolls.

I thought that was pretty screwy myself. For now, I've consoled it on to my Argonian character, and I'll probably add it to the race as a whole once the CK is updated to work properly with 1.6.

I like a lot of the ideas, but the problem with massive overhauls is that they're not modular.

I think this will deter a lot of people.

After reading through it the mod seems interesting. The only things that annoy me(other than Argonians not having disease resistance) is that the creator put quiet casting in the sneak tree, got rid of the Atronach thrall spells, and got rid of the Turn undead spells.

Those Aura spells sound cool though. Plus I like that the open lock spells are added.

The author comes off like a used car salesman in the description page...

Lot's of interesting ideas but it's not for me. I like small mods that do one thing well, not huge overhauls. I did run MMM in Oblivion and while it was great, there were always features that I wished I could cut out.

I love some of these additions and changes, like those Enhance Weapon spells for example, but there's so many other changes it makes that I'd be hesitant to use this for any one feature. Who knows how it will interact with my other mods as well. I wish it were modular, some of it sounds really cool.

The colossus spell seems kind of weird. I mean the ability to turn into a giant? And the ability to make Dwemer constructs?

Come on.. Really?

Skyrim doesn't need saving. It's an amazing game. Just like Morrowind. Just like Oblivion...

I don't see why people want TES to be practically the same game as the last. Change is good people, it brings us closer to perfection.

Agreed. Skyrim is the only Beth game since Morrowind I was able to play through without mods. All that's left now to imporve are more quests and maybe some new land...to the east shall be...

Everything SureAi does is great...but this will take years again...unfortunately. Music on their website lets me dream.

Great opinion. Progress is good, people want to evolve not stand still. However. I have to disagree on Oblivion being a good game.

I think SkyRe is a great mod with a huge range of great ideas. But for my taste perks are just perks, magic is just magic, and the races are just races. Why change what's already good? And why not add more features without removing old ones? Why not giving people the opportunity to choose if they want to play with the old content, the new content, or a mixed version of it? The good thing about mods like OOO and MMM was, they added a huge load of new content and gameplay features. SkyRe basically just changes a lot what's already there, and what's already good. Mods like Frostfall or Basic Needs add so much more immersion and gameplay, despite them being much smaller mods. Apart from that, this mod makes Skyrim even easier then it was before, and this is exactly what I do not need...

It really doesn't make it easier. It changes combat and makes it nearly impossible to instant-win via power-gaming perk choices early on. That and it has a releveling feature similar to AISE where higher leveled enemies spawn, PLUS it's compatible with MoMod, Frostfall, and nearly every other commonly used weapon/armor pack out there. And yes it IS modular in that you can pick all or none of the categories.
