Do Skyrim Users deserve some Free Dlc?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 11:13 pm

Depends on how big it is, if it's like Oblivion's house dlc's then yeah those should be free. If it's like Shivering Isle size then yeah I can see paying for a actual expansion.
I think im going to tweet Pete about that...

Bethesda talked to them about letting us console user's be able to download pc mods, but they squashed that idea....

Uhhhh..no? That doesn't even make sense. They have patched the game because it needed patching.

I fail to see the correlation that makes with us getting free content LOL?

"Do I deserve a free liquor because I bought a meal that didn't taste like I wanted?" NO
Well said.

No but I better not have to pay when they finally fix the Dragons so they freaking attack me when they randomly spawn. Its so annoying just watching them fly around screaming their heads off!

well barring the fact that Bethesda will never give away anything for free if they can make coin off of it....ever. no with the massive "success" of Skyrim (its 10 dollars more than most PC releases...for no reason) they only have more reason to charge charge charge ;p

and no the CS doesn't count, not only do they not have to give it, but it costs them all of nothing to suppy it ;p

I'm playing on a ps3 and while I've had some problems, its nowhere near as bad as some people are reporting. I don't think free expansions or anything like that are really warranted, but a little "thank you and sorry" would give most people a warm fuzzy feeling. Something like a dragon weapon pack so light armor blacksmiths don't feel cheated or something like that might be warranted.

I can't wait for expansions to come out myself. Maybe an expanded branching DB questline? Maybe we can take a little trip to Cyrodil to see what's changed in 200 years? I'll probably trade in my release day copy for the GOTY when it comes out anyways.

During Skyrim's marketing campaign, Bethesda stated that they wouldn't be making expansion packs anymore, just "Fallout 3-sized" DLC.So you might get a new area or two, but nothing as massive as Cyrodiil.

I remember them saying this as well, then I believe Todd or somebody reneged a bit and said that they would like to make expansion. Still up in the air though, obviously.

This reminds me of my days wasted on WoW. The servers go down for a few hours and people flood their forums demanding a free month for a few hours they couldn't waste on that game.

I have faith that Bethesda will get the glitches fixed eventually and we'll even have some sweet DLC (we remember Shivering Isles).

reneged on being able to kill everyone (remember acting all burnt like this was some massive task)

Killing someone makes their home yours

Spell Combinations (there will be some spell comboing?)

Sabotaging mills and changing prices

Saying Skyrim will look way better on PC after being booed at Quakecon?

yeah it isn't up in the air its on the floor burning. just because PR is in the word Promise, doesn't make them the same thing. ;p

I was just talking about the whole expansion thing. We all know Todd is an evil cyborg clone.
