As of the beta, the appearance changing NPC can't "work their magic on undead", so it's unavailable as a Vampire. :banghead:

Also, every race except Khajiit/Argonian get the glowing eyes.

You hire them for 500 gold from a DG NPC, and they follow you around and take up your "pet" slot, similar to Stray Dogs and Barbas. They hit like trucks, have ridiculous health, and are overall really strong. I believe they cap around level 40 or 50, though, so a higher level character won't have them scale all the way up. They respawn endlessly as well, and if you have them wait around too long sometimes they'll just leave you.

They seem to be fairly rare, and only along roads.

What's this about? Does this have to do with the Redgaurd Arkay Priest's quests? I never found any runed weapons playing the beta.
Yup, that guy's quests have you find artifacts.

Agreed. (Unless they changed this since the beta. Alot of people "complained" in the beta forums about it, including myself, so they might have. But I doubt it.)

Hope so. I'm keeping Dogmeat in Megaton until I can get that Puppies! perk in Fallout 3 because I don't want to risk his safety and have him disappear permanently, but I really only want dog companions if any at all.
I use to hate having companions aswell... However after Serana... I just can't. Literally she makes the world more lively. Her AI is just that good. She interacts with things and makes observations. She makes things feel like they have an impact.

The vampires dogs are really good. But if you fight them watch out. They ahnilate your stamina and speed. at level 67 they still held up with me when on my side.

I'm still seriously waiting to see if Argonian/Khajiit have glowing eyes or not. Because in the beta, they did not, I think it was a bug but I have a feeling now that it was intended. The only way to know for sure would be to load of the DLC, but I'm in the process of re-installing everything since I had the beta version.

Can anyone please verify this for me? Surely some of you must play a beast race!

I don't recall if they were ridiculously strong or not, but it did hit Serana and make her go flying, lol

Let's just say... A nightmare come true. Wouldn't wanna face these out in the wild... Hell normal trolls give me the sense of "Oh here we go again! HNGGG!"

She has a [censored]load of situational dialogue, and her AI is just generally better than any follower we've had yet.

If that's the case, I'm glad she's apparently not as thick as her counterparts. I can't imagine trying to solve puzzles with her playing with the lever each time I spin the dials.

As far as we know, there is no more Aetherium. I've personally even gone all the way to the back past the lava and made sweeps of the place as best as I could, but no luck, unfortunately.

What style is she suited for? Can she sneak without waking the (un)dead?

I love Serana. One of the very few good things that came out of the DLC.

She doesnt stand there and stare at you like most followers.

Example: when you work at a forge she might walk off a little and work at the alchemy table.

And she actually talks! She doesnt say the same line 50 thousand times and make you want to kill her. She always has entertaining commets.
