Invent a super awsome medic ability that isn't overpowered then.

You didn't like any of the ones I've come up with so far? :pinch: I'm not done though. More to come soon.

Must...appease...ItalianDevil!

Medic:

Transfusion - Able to steal an incapacitated enemy's supply pips.

Dedicated - Doubles the cost of all abilities except Life Buff and Revive, which are halved in cost.

Silver Bullet - Shooting your teammates heals them for half the damage you would inflict on an enemy.

Heal-o-Matic - Upgrade your team's turrets so that they restore health to nearby teammates.

1. Seems okay but just short of greatness
2. No thank you. I wish to keep my other abilities normal.
3. I can see this being op. "Oh no, my teamate is underfire, let me shoot him so he can win the fight"
4. WINNER. You have completed the Ninja Medic appeasemant forum challenge. Congrats.

Operative: bad syringes- swapping out enemy medic's syringes with syringes that reduces his team mates health by same amount it would have increase it a total of 5 syringes swapped out.

Medic: bad mojo- when syringe is used on enemy the enemy sees his teammates as the enemy and enemy as a teammate.

Soldier: boof me- make small guy have strength of large guy and gives big guy the speed of small guy and medium build gets both elevated

Engineer: I really like the dispenser in tf2 1 of those

With 50% heal the teammate still wouldn't always survive. The medic would have to start shooting before the enemy to make it really useful.

I still don't like it. Having to get semi close to give him a health boost is a good balance but being able to minigun your teamate to heal him is ridiculous. IMO.

Hey man do you mind cooling it with the "its not good enough" and "i dont like it" comments. he is just comming up with ideas for fun. its not like they are going to be implemented in the game so i dont see why he has to go so far as to convince you that they are "good" ideas.

Here are some new suggestions on my part:

Engineers:
Blueprints- change the map lay out for enemy in their mini map.

Operative:
You can run...- Enables thermal vision for operatives

Medic:
Good Karma- An ally who has received a syringe from a medic can now use it on another teammate.

Soldier:
Discipline- Killing someone defusing a bomb rewards with increase in RoF

Engineer Skills

Brought a friend? Here's Mine
-A mine that when triggered doesn't do any damage but releases 10 sticky mines that will activate in 3 seconds. And they stick to everything, flesh too.

Fast Fingers-quickens time planting Mines and Deactivating charges.
La Boom-improves blast radius and damage.

1. I was messing around with hatter. I challenged him to make a super awsome medic ability (stated above) and he accepted the challenge.
2. Calm down.

I don't mind criticism as long as it's constructive. Always glad for some feedback. Perhaps 25% of normal damage would be more balanced for that Silver Bullet skill. Hmm...

Rubber nades- (soldier) allows gernades to bounce around corners
More Cowbell(soldier)- gernade blast radius increases by 1.5X

I thought grenades did bonce...to an extent.
Just saying.

Anyways, my ideas;

Soldier
Cause Women Like Ballistic Plates: Damage reduced by 2.5% but movement and weapon drawing speed increased by 5%.

Engineer
Don't Touch That!: You rig an object (corpse, turret, solid surface) with a proximity flashbang.

Medic
An Eye for A Gun: When you heal an ally, you gain half a clip of ammo

Operative
Creeper Sh*t: The operative follows you. Everywhere.

It should only heal the basic health. Not like gradually buffing up all pips

What do you think of these then?

One Man's Medicine...
Upgrade your Lazarus Grenades so that they do cumulative damage to anyone in the gas' radius.

Give and Receive: Any revived team mate can buff you for x% more in whatever they specialize in for one buff only (e.g. a soldier you revived will buff you more ammo for ONE buff- good incentive for teamwork while not being overpowered!).

Triage/Guardian Angel/ER: Downed team mates will immediately show up on your radar (double-edged sword if there are opportunistic enemies around!).

Amazon Arrow/Sicilian Bullet: Coats sniper rifle bullets with a toxin that delivers a short poisoning effect (decreases health over time and obscures vision) at the cost of a considerable amount of ammunition capacity.

Splash Damage removed Sniper rifles and instant-kill grenades because players need to understand what killed them, and Headshots/grenades are like "Acts of god", killing you for no reason.

If a new player is suddenly about to die, poisoned, and cannot see as well, he'll panic, not understand what killed him, and lowers the great player experience Splash Damage is looking for.

Seems like a dangerous thread; if you make a mistake someone might mock you, and if you give a critique you get yelled at.

Medic - Thank you for Smokin' - A smoke grenade used for obscuring view that heals teammates with in the cloud.

Soldier - Death Bi Pod - Locks soldier in place for a short period, greatly increasing weapon accuracy. (sets up a bipod)

Engineer - That Booby's Trapped - Setup a motion sensor in a "Shortcut" area that closes the short cut when tripped.

Operative - See, No Evil - Blend in with surroundings while remaining stationary against a wall surface. Unable to use weapon while active.

All - Well I'm just going to have to agree with DAS BOOT.

I think your 'Fast Fingers' skill should be renamed 'Johnny Rocket Fingers' :disco:

Here are some that I thought up:

[Operative]
For The Win! - Regain 20% of your health after successfully stealing an enemy command post.
I Fight Dirty/Sore Loser - Once below half health all enemies who harm you take 25% of the damage themselves. Damage from turrets and mines is excluded.

[Medic]
Mess With he Best.. - Gives you a 4 second armor boost after reviving a teammate in which all damage you take is halved.

[Engineer]
You Asked For It... - Adds a concussive blast wave to your mine explosions, knocking down any enemy who isn't incapacitated by the blast. (That is if they don't already knock everyone down, not sure)

[Soldier]
Killing With Style - Every time you kill an enemy all teammates within a 5 yard radius gain 10% damage but lose 25% of their accuracy as they try and emulate your epic awesomeness. Incapacitations do NOT count!

The name is a play on things like "Death by chocolate", so "Death Tri Pod" just doesn't sell it, but it it could easily be a tri-pod or no pod and just a stabalizing move of some sort.
