My girlfriend was pretty happy they finally showed a female demo too. She was watching them while I was at work, apparently.

It's good they're showing both. Here's to hoping there's some good gender specific (black widow and others.) speech stuff to do. :tops:

yeah, since we kicked up a fuss (about 100% male screenshots) last week there have been two videos showing a female courier since, which is awesome. Also, I loved the ripped jeans one of the followers had on, I'm going to nab them off her cos they will look better on me :hubbahubba:

Female running animation looks kinda weird.

looked fine to me. A bit of a strange wiggle going on, but I put that down to the platform shoes.... :dance:

i noticed that. i think they overhauled the run/walk animation for both genders.

Eh, I play strictly as a male, so Female demos and screenshots IDRC about.

The female character kept picking up all the flowers she could find. Very gender-appropriate.

in Fallout 3 women characters had more power than men thanks to the Black Widdow perk which allowed 10% damage against men, there were more men in the game so this perk was better than Lady Killer (10% more damage against women)

They're not kidding about two loud feedback noises towards the end. They're pure destruction, so look out.

I been leaning towards playing a female my first time around and now there's no question that I will.

When she was running in the NCR armor I laughed so damn hard! Though, I am now more interested in caesars legion because of it. I like the idea of the disguise system though I must know if that is on hardcoe only or on both since I know some people that won't be to happy about it.

Won't be too happy about what? You don't want to disguise yourself to sneak in, don't do it.
Also, I would venture a guess that it will be included in both hardcoe and regular.

I think they actually look girly and natural. I like it.

I just know some people as in my personal friends that would like to wear say the NCR armor and would want to be around CL.

good point though. I plan on joining the Legion first play, and also collecting/wearing that NCR armour. Will my team-mates shoot at me just because I'm wearing it? Or will rep override that?

Yes, it was nice to see that. Also, she had Cherchez La Femme. Made me feel all fuzzy, wonder if that was Tess' decision to include. ^_^

It's not something that you see a whole lot. Games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect let you play as either gender but allllllll of their screens are the default male.

The hokers cracked me up though, mostly cause their names are 'hoker'.

And now to being serious, yeah I really enjoyed the female demo since I like playing female more.

Maybe one day you'll even see a female character on the front of the case when gender is optional, you never know... actually, I doubt it. While there are more female gamers the primary demographic is still male and they don't want to alienate I suppose (although I don't see why it would). I enjoyed this though Fallout continues to give me a happy - roll on release date! :twirl:

Honestly, they kinda did. It had a little bit more of a 'model walking down a catwalk' feel to it. I would say its better than Fo3's 'she is a robot' feel, but still didnt really fit. :/ Cant they just make them realistic, but normal looking? All the other animations looked pretty good. (reloads, melee swings) The one thing I am angry about, is you still reload every gun in the game like .5-2 seconds. I would like to have longer ones to make it a bit more challanging. (Maybe in hardcoe?) Still good we finally saw a female character.

We cant really say the NCR character that is on the cover is a dude, it could be a chick, the armor just conceals it? Or would it be more obvious? I havent seen a female wearing it yet so I cant say for sure.

Male is normally canon, at least in the first two games.

Is there a shorter video? I only have a 10GB download limit and at almost 55 minutes, it's a big download and a big video, I reached my download limit due to some downloads from Live and I have no desire for a huge bill again, already got to pay more than usual this month.
