Question: with the Imperial set coming in, are you planning to make those weapons solely found with Imperial's as the Nord set was found with Stormcloak soldiers and guards/bandits? Probably. Where else would the Imperial set be found probably aside from Imperial Towers?

Oh goodness, I can't wait for the Khajiit set! :celebration:

It's definitely going to be on soldiers, but how they're distributed in the world...I'm not sure yet. They'll find their way into the leveled lists similar to how the mod previously had it, but I want to make the ratio of appearance for these lower overall since it is the land of the nords. I also want to try to find a way to make sure that these weapons dont appear like...in Nordic ruins some how... lol. But I'm getting there :smile:

Imperial will be more deep though than Nord, so it should be pretty interesting.

Perhaps some Nordic dungeons or areas where Imperial's infiltrated would be good additions. I can't think of any at the moment where they've died or might have dropped things behind (next to a Draugr's remains or something similar). Only if it's mentioned or there are actual dead Imperial's. I could help investigate if you wish. :yes:

If you find anything that's cool, but I personally wouldn't worry about it as much if I were you. How the leveled lists for in game spawns are setup...its like a giant roulette sometimes. It'll be an ancient Nordic crypt, with town daggers/orcish weapons/etc spawning in there, its so hard to control. Ideally if I was to have it my way, I would have custom leveled lists hand placed for all the dummy weapons/equipment in Nordic Crypts ... and I'll probably do it eventually.

But just not right now while I still have my sanity...

So unless I figure out something clever, everyone's going to have to just see misplaced Imperial Weapons in Draugr crypts from time to time :tongue:


By the way, does anyone know where in the CK do I find the "quests" that spawn randomly in special places in the world?

Like the event with the old Orc, the imperial guy on the Horse with a Legionairre escort, Thalmors/Imperials escorting prisoners, etc?

I'm running Jaysus Swords and TCOS with a wrye bashed patch.

However there's almost no Jaysus swords whatsoever to be found. 10 real hours gameplay and I've found about 2-3 Jaysus swords. BUT I'm finding TCOS weapons left and right. TCOS weapons are coming out of my ears.

What gives? Why does TCOS superseeds Jaysus and surpresses Jaysus weapons to be distributed amongst NPCs?

Lol I think I know why. I added a lot of chances of item drop so that my weapons would spawn at the same rate as vanilla stuff (for the most part), which is usually pretty often. However Jaysus' stuff is probably 1 item chance.
The reason I set it this way though is because as I add more items from Realswords, the newer weapons will have a lower spawn rate than Nord, so that Nord weapons take precedence since its the land of the Nords.

So there's one of two ways to change it around. I can make a compatibility patch that lowers the frequency of TCOS weapons so it can be merged nicely with other people's mods. Or Jaysus and other modders can add their item frequency to match vanilla. It's kind of hard either way though since I dont really know how Jaysus' stuff is distributed (plus how can I know what other mods weeks, months, years down the line from now will do?),

But if I have some time, or someone is interested in doing it, the item frequency can be lowered.

If you could, can you take a look how Jaysus does it? He distributes the swords via JSwordsDistributionBalancePlugin.esp . I'd really like to see Jaysus and TCOS having almost the same chance to spawn the weapons.

Both mods are equally awesome! The more weapons the merrier I say.

That steel armor is vanilla steel armor o_o, hirespack.

I was hoping to release Imperial tomorrow actually, but it might take me longer than planned to add the final touches.

This makes it feel more unique every time when running into enemies of a different race (well, 2 so far)! It's nice seeing the new weapons randomly along with different quality as well. Will Imperial equipment get the same treatment?

Yessir!

Some alsohttp://i.imgur.com/F1hSv.jpgfor the wealthy or high rank in the army. Weapons also have http://i.imgur.com/2qnP6.jpg, http://i.imgur.com/TweUg.jpg, or plain fullers (the center of the blade) variations for the blades...along with old versions for each weapon. So there are a lot...

This version is probably about...3 - 4 times as large as Nord, plus it comes with a small update to the visual appearance of Nord, so it should be a pretty nice deal.

As for distribution, I will designate some weapons as army issued weapons and some as civilian based equipment. http://i.imgur.com/dmodO.jpg and most of the http://i.imgur.com/ssM32.jpg for example will be for army members, while http://i.imgur.com/XZnwe.jpg, http://i.imgur.com/TweUg.jpg, http://i.imgur.com/qzMdR.jpg, http://i.imgur.com/6i5HK.jpg, etc will be found pretty much anywhere (with a small chance of being in the army too for diversity).

The legion was a bit more diverse this time around compared to Oblivion, so it would be fine (in my opinion) for variance here and there among the ranks for the equipment used.

cool stuff...just one request...the Legion Scutum (shield) should not look roman ....it should look more imperial...more dark maybe even wooden and iron like the standart imperial shield and it should have a dragon insignia :-)

cool stuff...just one request...the Legion Scutum (shield) should not look roman ....it should look more imperial...more dark maybe even wooden and iron like the standart imperial shield and it should have a dragon insignia :-)

I'm not really sure where I could put the Dragon, and the texture is done already so it would take some work, but I'll see if I can do something. It's already made of wood so you'll see it on the inside.

hmmm...what I mean is, it should come with the same textures as the vanilla legion shields.... just as a scutum..this way it would feel more being part of the vanilla legion.....btw it should also be a lot larger ...a scutum provides cover for the complete soldier...(very heavy shield)...just my two cents :-)
