FAAAR too open-ended of a question. You need to post details/specs about your PC....if it's a prebuilt, at least list the brand and model#. You also need to specify a budget you're willing to spend.

Looking for coolers for those below, in particular the 9800gt and the gtx-card, from a look around the gts 250 aint so much to be done size wise, even if it has screws on the back that stick out far more than the others.

Gainward GeForce 9800GT 1GB PhysX CUDA
PCI-Express 2.0, GDDR3, DVI, native-HDMI,
HDCP, Graphics Plus, "Green version"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ASUS GeForce GTX 260 896MB PhysX CUDA
PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI, HDMI, HDCP, Core 216, Graphics Plus, 55nm
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ASUS GeForce GTS 250 1GB PhysX CUDA
PCI-Express 2.0, "Dark Knight" DVI, native-HDMI, HDCP, Graphics Plus
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GTS 250 = 9800 GTX+ It's a very good card.

 sounds awesome, thanks!

Actually, Cyberpower has improved quite a bit over the years in their reseller ratings: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/CyberPower

I would feel safer going with them over Ibuypower (being they are fairly close in specs between the two linked).

The only real problem I had with the Cyberpower was the power supply is 500w, which seemed kinda weak to me.

If that is the Apevia power supply, yeah, it ruins the whole deal. I wouldn't trust one of those to maintain regulation and ripple at 300W.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but it certainly doesn't deserve a new thread...

I need to find the installer for Firefox 3.5 - NOT 3.6. There's a website I need to access for college, and it currently doesn't support FF 3.6, so I need to install 3.5 on my netbook. Kind of a pain in the butt, but I need this. I tried to google it, but I'm not sure what sites would be reputable or whatever.

So... um... help please? >.<;

Continuation from last thread:
Try http://www.hdtune.com/

I used this, and after doing an error scan all my little boxes were green and it said there wasn't a problem with that, but under the health tab it says warning for my "Ultra DMA CRC Error Count." I have no idea what this means.

Not really anything I need help with, but could computers come with more obvious Dos-and-Donts? A computer I'm fixing right now wouldn't get past the "Windows is loading" screen. Used the recovery console from the Windows disc and fixed the MBR and got the thing to boot. Woohoo! Victory, right? No. They had "internet security" installed (quick Google search? virus) along with The-Program-We-Shall-Not-Mention installed. So, what should have been a 5 minute fix to get the computer to turn on is now two hours of TLC.

Oh well, just means I get paid a little extra haha.

But seriously. Tell all your friends (especially your friends' parents) to Google what they're downloading before they download it to see if it's trustworthy.

But when I select English (US) on Windows, it takes me http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.5.8&os=win&lang=en-US, with FF 3.6.

I just cleaned a 1 and a half inch layer of dust off of pretty much everywhere from the inside of my computer and I swear I gained 4-10 fps in Mass Effect. Is that normal or did my PC sneak some of my steroids?

I honestly wouldn't suggest anything until Captaain Planet comes through with more details about his/her system. For all we know, he/she may have a super old PC that doesn't have an AGP or PCI-E slot. Or perhaps this system uses a slimline design. Compatibility questions are to be dealt with first before making any suggestions.

Sure you read that right? Based on the specs, that system comes with a 700 Watter. While it's probably one of their cheaper end units, it should still be enough for a GTS 250. Should replace it eventually though with something more quality, but it should be fine for some time. This is one of the crappier things about Ibuypower's and CyberpowerPC's off the shelf systems...hardware is great for the price, but they always seem to use lower than average PSUs in them.

Cleaning out your PC of dust once or twice a year is good practice. Depending on your environment, you may even need to do it more often. But anyways, 1.5" of dust is exaggeratively a lot. It can certainly affect GPU performance though. Too much dust can cause overheating on any component, especially GPU fans. You should probably get to cleaning that out too if you haven't.

Guess I did kinda exaggerate that a bit (lot). But still, the guy that I got it from had it for years and I don't think he cleaned it out once. Either way, this thing is a hell of a lot quieter now. There was a caked on layer of dust behind the CPU fan too and I think that might have been making it run hotter as well. I had to stick a piece of paper towel folded on the end of a piece of hard plastic and then put it between the fan blades and move it in a circular motion, and then use the hair dryer on high power and cold air.

Next time, I'm just getting some compressed air

I am in the process of purchasing the discounted version of Windows 7 Pro 64bit for college students (it costs around $60.00 U.S. compared to 2 or 3 hundred dollars) and I need to know something. I have a dual boot system with Windows 7 RC beta on my main hard drive, and my old Windows XP install on the other. Is it possible for me to install the upgrade of Windows 7 onto the newer (and faster) drive that has my Windows 7 RC beta on it rather than my drive that has my legal copy of XP?

Thanks for your time.

I believe so. The upgrade will install to a new drive or a new partition if that is what you want. If it is an "upgrade" copy (one that requires a licensed copy of Windows to be present already), it will be satisfied if it finds that copy anywhere on the system.

Well, I got my new hardware today (Motherboard, CPU and RAM) and have it all installed. Everything seems to be working fine except my DVD drive. Every time I try to run something off a disk windows just tells me that it failed and gives me the option of closing the problem or searching for a solution online. What could the issue be? Perhaps I need a firmware update or something like that?

[EDIT]: It's also not detecting my second DVD drive either, so maybe it's a faulty IDE cable?

[EDIT2]: It seems the issue was one of two things: It either didn't like having to drives on one IDE cable, or it didn't like my old DVD-ROM drive that I use as a secondary. Seems to be working fine now with just my DVD drive hooked up. Not a big loss as I very rarely use the DVD-ROM drive anyway.

My laptop's screen is very dirty there is dust and marks of where I have sneezed and etc. I heard there is some special type of wipes that clean computer screens without damaging them. I need to know soon because in an hour or two I'm going shopping so I need the name of it or brand.

Just use a cleaning cloth..the kind that comes with glasses, handheld gaming systems..or anything else small with lenses/screens.

You can find them where glasses are sold.

As for specific brands,I have no clue.
