I've got 190+ hours in Skyrim (About 75% on one character) and I've barely done anything. I've explored only like half the map, I've only completed the main quest (Haven't started any guild stuff) I could easily see me hitting ~300 hours before I complete everything.

And thats just with one character lol

More Skyrim = more happy.

Does it add the side quests to the existing game, or will you have to start Dawnguard?

Anyone?

Even if just the main quest is 10-20 hours, that's still a lot longer than a lot of games. This is good news indeed.

They confirmed on gamspot live stream the main guest for it is 10-20 hours long and they also said something about dawnguard [faction] that will dissapoint the ones hoping for a better background for them.

So? There an ancient order of vampire hunters, they could very well be what use to be the order of the virtuous blood there symbols are almost exactly the same.

Does Dawngaurd feature new landmass??

I can't seem to pin this down in any of the interviews. I know it will add a new oblivion relm, but my question is in regards to ladmass near Skyrim.

I don't think they ever said clearly. But it seems like there will be new areas in Tamriel (not just in Oblivion). I believe that it was said that the scene in the trailer with the dragon diving under the ice was from a new area you could explore.

It adds a few new whole areas IN skyrim. also there extending the rift and Solitude, it appears there adding a massive add to the coast of the sea of ghosts.

Yes but from what some have been hoping for they wanted something that wasn't very cliche you know a reason behind them other then "their vampires must kill" doesn't really matter to me much though.

I'm not sure i understand.

How are there new areas IN Skyrim? Are they just adding a castle where there used to be just some trees? Also how do you extend the Rift?

Really? On one character, I've basically done everything on half the map with only about 90-100.

Meh, anyway, Dawnguard's main quest should be at least twice the length of one of the longer Faction Quests, with actual depth and choices too for once.

your fault if you don't rp at all. :-/

They said there was side content in addition to the 10-20 hour main quest.

I just realized something, will both faction quest lines will be 10-20 hours each? Or is it 10-20 hours combined?

Plus if you take into account that you can do the quest twice, once as the vamps and once as Dawnguard that is a good tradeoff, I would be playing this regardless

10-20 Hours of main story. Meaning it's still not counting the crossbows, Vampire Lords, Side Quests (you know there's at least going to be one. It's a Bethesda game), perks, the new shout, mounts, etc. That's at least 30 hours total, including main story, if you want to max out the perk tree, at least that's my guess.

That's the length it takes for me to get to the end of Fallout New Vegas with no side quests done. You're getting an entire GAME added to another, great game.

Yep, they said Skyrim had 300 hours of content too. I wouldn't hold your breath.

And the faction questlines were so short they may as well not have existed, if Dawnguard is similarly sized, it's Main Quest will likely be fairly minimal.

I've hit well over 300+ and haven't done everything as well. I personally think you're totally ignoring exploration as a content and mechanical device in Skyrim. I've got friends that did that too, I pity those with such a narrow perspective on this game.

Additionally, 10-20 hours for the main quest probably takes into account replaying it as both Dawnguard and Volkihar.
