I wasn't a fan of Tranquility Lane myself. I think part of it has to do with the fact that I've never really liked most quests or sections in RPGs where the game sticks you in a location like that until you solve it. Didn't like the Dream quest in Oblivion either despite its nice looks. Disliked the Fade in DA (not just talking about how long it is). There are many such examples.

I think the best quest in F3 was easily the Android one. It felt very natural how you picked it up in the first place and investigated it. Secondly, you could end the quest prematurely if you didn't investigate it properly. Thirdly, finding the doctor is probably one of the more tense situations to play through the first time in F3. Fourth, it's always nice when a character is connected to more than one quest (the survival guide) because while it may feel strange in such a big world, it does add some layer to NPCs. And fifth, you could end it in different ways.

The writing wasn't on top but I think that was the best quest in F3.

I'd like more quests than be resolved without any resort to violence. I'd like to play a character like me, pacifistic unless I am in a situation where pacifism isn't an option.

I loved tranquility lane, even though the black and white got to me after a while. I'd like to see more quests like it. I'm thinking Mr. House may be giving having us do something that could be considered unique.

I would love a "tranquility lane" type of quest. I thought it was really fun. One of the great things about it was the randomness. You've been in the wasteland for hours listening to depressing music and killing stuff in a very gory way. Then your suddenly thrown into a black and white peaceful world filled with nice stuff and pleasant music. Of course the whole thing is kind of disturbing but really great over all.

do you mean like solving a murder.

i would love a quest where someone is killed and you have to find out who did it. by following clues and interviewing suspects

it would be even better if who the actual killer was is left ambiguous. like you can accuse any of the suspects and the one you accused is punished, but the game never actually specifies who did it.
therefore its all up to who you believe did it. everyone who plays may have different opinions on who did it and why they did it. it would be fun to argue on the forums about who actually did it.

i would love a quest like this

That reminds me of the quest for the dark borther hood in oblivion. You are sent into a house to find an object. But your really working for the people who set it up. So then you have to get someone alone in a room with you and murder them. Why not have the opposite of this, or if you choose you could be the killer depending on previous descisions. But it would be like you start off trapped in a dark dungeon, no way out. There are 8 of you. Then you split off with 5 others and search for a way out dodging in corridors and stuff. Then someone yells into a radio and when you get over there there is a dead person. Eventually more and more dissapear and are found dead. But you can talk to people and if you smart enough you can figure out the real killer before he can kill to many. It would be a puzzle game. When your the last one alive he hunts you, and yes you will most likely kill him, but the more people you save the more rewards you could obtain. Each person has there own reward, if you talk to them you will find there backgrounds out and there reward is based around were they came from.

A Dark Brotherhood type quest line would be cool. I didn't even think about that. A really good evil questline.

Whodunit? Was a great twist on the old murder mysteries like you are suggesting. Everyone is stuck in a house and people are turning up dead. Everyone is trying the find out "who done it" as they get more and more panicked, accusing each other, trying to get out of the house, old rivalries and tensions coming to the surface. The twist of course is that you aren't looking for the killer - you ARE the killer! The quest is a complex, free form puzzle where you try to isolate and systematically murder everyone in the mansion without arousing suspicion on yourself. You can talk to the NPCs and goad them into being paranoid about someone with the right "evidence" to support your claims. You can plant booby traps, or poison an apple, or whip an NPC into such a frenzy that they murder another NPC themselves, thinking they are performing "justice" on the killer. Come dawn, you casually stroll out the front door as the sole survivor.

Best quest in Oblivion

Hands down. Though "Brush of Death" comes close for pure spectacle.

Tranquility Lane was by far and away my least favorite part of Fallout 3 the only bigger waste of time I have experienced in a RPG was the Joker level in Mass Effect 2.
