the most useless shout in skyrim

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 12:27 pm

I was so excited because i got the storm call shout after going through a huge dungeon and this shout svcks. I don't know if it's because my companion is wearing metal and the lighting is attracted to her or if its just another stupid glitch, but for some reason this shout seems to be only effective against my allies. it seems that the more i play skyrim the more glitches that i seem to find, and they seem to be endless, maybe its time for me to retire before i end up in a nut house.

the most useless shout is dismay because it makes people run away.

Yeah, the first time I used storm call was like the first time I gave a chain lightning staff to my follower...she proceed to fry my dog; storm call ended up killing her. bummer.

Call dragon in my opinion. Long reuse, and his damage vs my own is very sad.

okay i understand how it may feel weak, but storm call is not only useless but killing my weapons/companions, and it takes for ever to recharge, how can you get more useless then having a negative effect.

They are equal in my opinion, as I never use either.

That's really sad. I haven't gotten the dragon call or storm, and I was really excited about dominating some stuff with them. In the demo, doesn't storm call down a dragon with a couple lightning strikes? Or was that just because it was a demo?

I found storm call shout to be quite useful.Im a mage at level 10 and i used it to kill a scripted dragon during the MQ. The Blades lady sure is affected by the lightning but she cant die for being an essential NPC.

The demo also had a dragon instantly killing a giant, when in the actual game said dragon would have been utterly smashed.

i don't mean to spoil it for you, but i'm fighting an elder dragon in master difficulty and then i use the shout hoping it will be useful, but as i'm looking up at the dragon, it seems to be flying without a single lighting hitting it, and then i look down at my housecarl and its being electrocuted constantly my lighting, like i said it seems to be a glitch but i don't think it is.

Lol. Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. It was way cooler in the demo. I thought, "Wow! These giants are op.." Then... "BAM! OMG! DRAGONS ARE OPer!!!!!" But, no. IRL (Skyrim real life, that is...) giants wreck dragons... weird.

Yea I was quite dissapointed to find out that Dragons are not the most fearsome creatures in the game, I would have thought with all the excitement in the early release days Bethesda had with bringing dragons into the game that they would have been tougher. Heck since the v1.3 update most dragons I encounter in the wild need to be chased down, rather than attacking and standing thier ground with me.

i want you to say this while fighting an ancient dragon without using any exploits to level your character on master difficulty.

Just because ancients are slightly tough, does not excuse every single other type of dragon being pathetically weak. Ancients are actually stronger even than Alduin, which is just sad.

If I can have a giant on my side.... I think his point was giants shouldn't kill dragons one on one.

all in the name of balance. Thunderstorm #3 is pretty nasty. Just tell your companion to "wait here", while you go clean out an area. Call lighthing then hide in the bushes with invisibility or something. Haven't thought about it but should be pretty good against draggies.

I forget to use 'em half the time, all equally useless to me XD They are useful if I actually remember they exist... And IF I do remember it's mostly just Unrelenting Force...

Clear skies is actually unintentionally one of the best shouts in the game. If you use the first word of it, it comes back really quickly, and every time you use it, it will stagger enemies.

well i'm a mage/master conjurer so i will always have followers, but i get the point, this shout is not for me, which is kind of sad to see such an awesome shout be so useless when i went through all that trouble to get it.
