just because hes not said as one of the 9 because of what the high elves claim doesn't mean he isn't a divine. his shrines still grant boons. the only reason that the high elves say hes not a divine anyway is because they cant stand that a human transcended first they wouldn't have said anything if Talos was a High elf i assure you.

But the situation with Pluto is similar. Pluto has not changed. It still has the same mass, same orbit, same composition it always has. There is nothing different about Pluto, except a group of scientists now says it is no longer a "planet." It once was considered a "planet," but now it is not. That is not so much different than Talos once being considered divine by the Empire, but now the Empire changed its mind because of the White Gold Concordant and says that Talos is not divine. Pluto is still Pluto and Talos is still Talos.

The only way that anology would really work is if Talos, Mannimarco, and three other gods were now called "dwarf divines."

Time is measured in planetary revolutions. The rosicrucians want to roll back time. But the astrological mechanisms wont allow time rollback to a point before pluto was discovered - because pluto is a planet in the time gearage. Dont feel bad you didnt know that. Its not taught until the advanced astrology courses.

Absolutely not.
It was either demote pluto as a planet, or accept we live in a solar sytem with hundreds, maybe thousands, of 'planets', which is what would inevetably happen if we had kept the definition as is. Such as Charon, which has over half the mass of Pluto.
Pluto is now a dwarf planet, as are other Kuiper belt objects, and that is right and proper.
As knowledge increases, sometimes paradigms shift so that the overarching order still makes sense.

The reason Lorkhan/Talos does not have a plane(t) is that after creation the other original spirits punished him for their fall from grace and tore asunder his body. It can be seen in the night sky as the moons.

Did I misudnerstood some info, cause I heard Nirn is Lorkhan's planet..

Sorry, but Ill save my astrology for where it belongs, fantasy.
Astrology is all fine and dandy in the TES universe but when it comes to the real world I prefer astronomy.
Even a moment of thought about your supposition gives me a headache, because it is just such mindnumbing bunk.
What about Charon and other Kuiper belt objects of similar or larger size than Pluto? Are they 'gears in the temporal garage' too?
Heres a fun fact: The gravitational attraction exerted by a single doctor at a distance of six inches is roughly twice that of Jupiter at its closest point to Earth.*
So to predict someones future you may be better off having charts about doctors than planets.

So if we want to roll forward time, we should have more planets then, right? TALOS AE PLANETES!

Talos was the first dragonborn Tiber Septum he founded the Empire and was the avatar of Akatosh((sp)) he was made the ninth davine by the people of the empire for his great deeds but it was never in the elder scrolls as such. the Eight Devine are the origenal gods than leading to the deidrea ((sp)) gods and than to mortals. the Thalmor dont want Talos to be whorspied to weaken the faith of the empire and hope for civil war to make for a weaker empire to take over. this is only a longer battle plan by the thalmor. it will likely be up to the new dragon born to end the war and restor the empire to glory. I see that as the next or a possible dlc.

As far as the whole "gods disappear if people stop believing in them" bit, that's only a theory presented in one book in-game. People seem to operate under the assumption that if they read it in a book in the game, then it's fact, and that's impossible. The books cannot be treated as definite fact, because they tend to contradict themselves.

Pluto being demoted might have given the script writers their original idea for the storyline of Skyrim... you never know!
This is a question I have wondered myself. I could see a relation between the two actions.

Most likely destroyed during the Great War.

It's not just one book though. Akatosh who never existed before Alessia is now definitely a god that helps people instead of seeking to destroy them all.
The very ascension of Talos to heaven was done by appearing so close to Lorkhan that people started thinking of them as the same being.

That's two examples of why this is the case, and not just fiction. Believe shapes reality in TES.

As far as I know, nothing new has been revealed about them in Skyrim.

It's been 200 years since the last quest to find the relics of the Divine Crusader and a new order was forged, according to Oblivion's plug-in.
If the order survived to the current timeline, I would imagine that the Great War and the White-Gold Concordat have played major roles within the group, enough so that another disbandment seems quite plausible.
This opens up the possibility of establishing a new chapter of the Order in Skyrim, as it is one of the last (perhaps only) province where the right to freely worship Talos is still being fought for.

Technically the right to worship Talos would still be around in Hammerfell, I have no idea how popular it is there though. Talos worship always seemed to be most prominent amongst the Nords and the Imperial Legion, neither of which can be found in Hammerfell with great numbers.

Anyway the Knights of the Nine seem like a great target for the Thalmor, knights that worship the divine, including Talos, by using the artifacts of a known elf slayer who killed them every single chance he got, every single time. If I were a Thalmor, I'd want them dead.
