the real brotherhood comes to light

As a recovering http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasteland_(video_game) junkie for nearly 20 years. I can't help but smile at this thread's current state.

I feel sorry for the Outcasts, they'll uphold the true creed of the Brotherhood, only to find out that they were defeated by a bunch of hicks with hunting rifles and cowboy hats.

No matter what the official story is, I'll always go with, and modify, the Tactics storyline and imagine the Outcasts as more assimilating than getting their booties kicked.

The word is bad enough on it's own. But being called it because I was like six years old when Fallout was released and obviously too young to play it just outright pisses me off.

You may have been six when the original was released, but you were ~16 when Bethesda bought the rights to the franchise. You had plenty of time to play the games before Fallout 3.

Yes, I did but that still doesn't change the fact that it'll most likely be a crappier version and it'll take a very long time so he shouldn't even count.

They still have...

1: A lot of salvaged Advanced Power Armor Mk 2.
2: A lot of plasma rifles.
3: Vertibirds.
4: Tesla cannons.
5: Plenty of water.
6: Who knows what else in Adams AFB.

As for the Outcasts... The debate is ongoing amongst the Elders over Lyons' actions on whether it's "treason" or not. However... the Outcasts have committed the high military crime of desertion. On top of that, they have rampant disorder and insubordiantion.

Not many people heard of the game before FO3. It brought the FO Franchise into the daylight.

I read in an interview that Sawyer said "IF you find the brotherhood." Im guessing there a bit hard to find cause they have weapons and Power Armor.

What? I'm pretty sure they'd be easier to find if they had a sufficient armory of weapons and power armor.
They are hard to find because there are so few left and most likely are in hiding, in some kind of base.

I'm talking about Liberty Prime. I'm not arguing that the East Coast BoS could defeat the West Coast BoS, I don't care about that. I just wanted to point out that its pretty stupid even listing Liberty Prime as an advantage seeing as he's destroyed and it would take a very long time to build a crappy version of him, the people who built him probably had almost unlimited resources and years to make him.

I'll always side with BoS. East coast, west coast...doesn't matter.

Brotherhood of Steel is just too cool of a name to pass up.

In the Capital wasteland yes but at the Mojave wasteland BOS are outnumbered.

Wait what? The east BoS was never at war with NCR. The west BoS was at war with the NCR but retreated before New Vegas begins, so they are no longer at war.

No, West Coast BoS = East Coast BoS + Outcasts who haven't split yet. The debate between the Elders has been simmering for some time, Lyons's actions have boiled things over in all likelihood. Plus... They don't have a Maxson with them anymore. Little Arthur is over on the East Coast, getting imprinted on by Elder Lyons.

Uh, you DO know the West Coast BoS was almost completely wiped out, right? So they do = East Coast Outcasts

The real Brotherhood out west would destroy them. The east coast one is a joke with shoddy equipment.

your forgetting the east coast has the lone wanderer as an honorary knight of steal savior of megaton destroyer of the enclave freer of slaves from paradise falls protector of bigtown rescuer of arefu the only modern space man having survived being abducted by aliens savior of vault 101 activated the purifyer cleaning the waters for all not to mention he has an alien spaceship complete with deathray to blast anyone attacking the bos he wants to lol

New Vegas

Brotherhood Members on Patrol in the Mojave
The Brotherhood returns as a minor faction in Fallout: New Vegas; they've been at war with NCR over control of the region's technology. NCR has the Brotherhood on the ropes, but the Brotherhood still has access to antiquated suits of T-51b power armor, which means that NCR will be hard-pressed to annihilate them. The Brotherhood has also destroyed NCR's gold deposits, bringing the value of the NCR dollar to an all-time low.

Quoted from the fallout wiki and heres a pic too

Actually, Scribe Rothchild says he thinks they can make Prime better than ever.

Even if it was a worse version, and this is just me speaking, I sure as hell wouldn't want to go up against even a "crappy" Liberty Prime with just a laser rifle. :D

Gaining Vertibirds, an aircraft that does not need to be refueled, has also given the East Coast BoS great ability to project power across the entire continent. I'm hoping in the next East Coast game we hear something about the Lyons Brotherhood using Vertibirds to contact the Western Brotherhood.

The western BOS also has vertibirds. Mostly likely better then the ones on the east cost.

Check The Vault, it says we don't know who gets the Vertibird plans in FO2; it's ambiguous.

And we don't know exactly what happens to the eastern brotherhood either, it could have been destroyed, it could have fallen? Maybe the enclave took over and won against them? Who on earth knows?

I wouldn't mind slight references to the brotherhood of steel in the east, but they're the kind of faction which would possibly get eaten alive on their trip to the west.

Actually, my guess is that the Vertibird plans went to the Shi, who at some point were assimilated into the NCR (who have V-birds in NV).

If the Brotherhood had Vertibirds, they wouldn't have needed to steal them from the Enclave in Broken Steel.
