I beg to differ; Broken Steel seems to make it very clear that the East Coast BoS wipes the Enclave off the map and gains access to their tech. The possibility of destroying the Citadel with the orbital strike as the canon ending is incredibly remote, at best. And again, since they have vertibirds, there will be no attacks on them on their trip west; they have aircraft that don't need to land to refuel, they can project power over the entire continent as they choose if they have enough Vertibirds.


And if the NCR has vertibirds, then yeah, they must've gotten the plans.

In my thinking its been four years since fallout 3 and if the BOS has all that stuff on the east coast they should have already contacted the west coast.

The only BoS members that have a reason to go back west are the Outcasts. Mostly due to a lack of options. It's not like they are in any shape to deal with this issue themselves.

Lyon's BoS is largely made up of local recruits who have no reason to leave the only home they have ever known and the BoS members that where part of the original expedition are up to their eyeballs in enclave tech. Lyon's BoS are no going west anytime soon. There is nothing like the NCR on the east cost to counter balance Lyon's BoS. Maybe if Caesar's Legion pushes east far enough they can put some pressure on Lyon's BoS.

The big question is Arthur Maxson. Who, or what, will he be like in 20 years. Maybe sending him out east wasn't the best idea in the end.

I'm imagining a Brotherhood of Steel with Enclave overtones. Intense paranoia, dread of outside contact, willingness to revert to extreme actions in order to secure an increasingly weak position... I would not be surprised if they are portrayed as antagonists.
