The Wait for Honest Hearts - Part 5

The Warsmith took their tounges that they may not speak of the conspiracy to feed the rage so the Gods can leech of it.

From past thread:

I'll field this question: It's easy. It's because people are bleating about how "ZOMG A SINGLE DAY'S DELAY MEANS I'M GOING TO UNINSTALL THE GAME IN PROTEST!"

The thing here is that people are whining about a trivial delay as if it actually mattered. They want their gratification now, just like spoiled children. None of them realize that problems with just about any sort of release are inevitable. In short, they feel entitled to HH.

Imagine HH is released in store, except the truck carrying the hardcopies crashes on the way. Would you be justified in whining about the delay? No. Of course not. Mistakes happen, and whining and demanding "WHERE IS MAH GAME!!?" just makes you look like a petulant child.

Or another example: When the power goes out, does calling the power company and complaining about it do anything? No.

Well, I don't exactly think this is 'uninstall' level. Heck, I sure feel entitled to play HH. I've put like 250 hours on NV since its release date (most on the release date). When you've come that far with a franchise, a little flaming is to be expected when it comes to broken promises (technical difficulties, if you prefer). Oh and about the truck and power thing; actual I would complain (to the power company) cause those d***s will still charge you for downed power. (not to mention calls can help power companies track down exact locations and warn them of dangers). If a truck carrying hard copies wrecked I guess I'd go to the other store across town rather than wait a week for them to get more back in stock. WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE in this situation, unless I take out a loan and buy an X-box and another copy of NV and plus both DLCS (oh and I guess a XBL account). I'm sure Bethisda and obsidian wouldn't mind that but I like my computer version just fine. Anyway I hope they fix it/release it soon or whatever... I blew off a camping trip so I could be lazy and add 'nother 50 hours or so on my hours played...

I guess that's why they're moderators: they dont have to do anything other than pressing the "lock-up" button when a thread hits 14 pages or some.

Pretty much, they just moderate the forums and maybe release info when they're handed it.

We're in the presense of Jason Bergman and Nick Breckon...but they do not speak

But if you are in a business partnership and something happened on their end would it be in your best interest to point fingers, not really. Both sides just stay silent and fix the problem then move on.

When I learned that the first DLC was going to be XBox only for a few months I decided to wait till game of the year rolled around... After watching the trailer, and viewing the pictures I had built up the internal hype to go ahead and buy this one DLC early. It honestly looks great, and seems to have a great story, however I am now back on the same old boat I was before.

/sigh might as well go ahead and read the spoilers page, and settle in till I get roped back into the DLC mess next month. All in all thanks steam for holding me true to my word.

It's steam's fault really. They uploaded the files, steam just has to push the button.

Hell, no idea what's really going on. Ask to Valve yourself.

I was not asking the mods anything, but there are devs that read the thread and as we have seen in the previous threads and in other places on the boards that post updates, all of us have the right to ask them what is going on.

Assuming Steam is West Coast since everything is in PST, they'd just now be coming back from lunch, revitalized and ready to fix whatever is broke.
