The Worst Movie(s) You('ve) Seen

Post » Sun Jul 03, 2011 2:34 am

I don't think I've seen this much negativity in one place since I last went to that website that sounds like fortune... Yeah there are bad movies, but it seems like some people's lives were affected horribly by them here.

On topic though, I think Meet the Spartans was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Yeah, it was just a random collection of gags that was only like an hour long. And they could have at least parodied a bad movie, I loved 300.

Vampire's svck, which is like the same kind of movie but for Twilight, is even worse.

Darkness Falls. Probably the worst movie I've seen. I'm not a big fan of horror movies, especially slasher ones, and I mostly avoid watching them because I know I'll hate them. But I was on vacation and my sister and her friends were watching this and I figured I had nothing better to do.

And slightly off-topic:

I'll never get all the Avatar hate, I thought it was a pretty good movie, special effects or no special effects. Overhyped? Probably. Unoriginal story? Yes. But I feel it's still a good movie, and it seems people have some sort of grudge against it.

You are thinking of the Green Lantern. While the portrayal of the Green Lantern that us people who grew up in the early 2000s saw was black (mainly from the Justice League TV series), you have to keep in mind that the Green Lantern in the comic book world refers to a group of people. I haven't seen the movie but when people get confused because the Green Lantern is white it's because they aren't that familiar with the series.

oh sorry meant green lantern. its not one of the superheroes i come across frequently unlike batman and superman which are everywhere. that explains it. there must be a green hornet though cause he sounds familiar. im a bit behind on my superheroe stuff ill have to google it.

I've seen tons of bad movies, and the worst movie I ever saw was The Spirit. It was such an epically bad movie. It was as if the director had his head [censored] by a circular saw while he shot the movie, and made his decisions accordingly. It was truly one of the worst things to ever appear on screen since film was invented.

Dead Like Me: Life After Death They killed off a great show, brought it back to life with this movie.. and then butchered it.

This along with another movie that was a poor adaption of a show that was Avater the last airbender. Others that come to mind are svcker punch which came as little surprise and green hornet that was mediocre drevel with a cliche storm.

Where the WIld Things Are, making a film too disturbing for children, and too boring for advlts does NOT make it an Arthouse classic film with metaphorical meaning

I had never been tempted to walk out of the cinema during the film before, but I was when I went to see the latest Pirates of the Caribbean. I wasn't expecting it to be good, but even in my worst nightmares it wasn't even close to being as bad as it was. I still stayed till the end, though I think I dozed off a few times.

People here feel it makes them less of a person if they like something that's popular.

James Wong's "Evolution", I refuse to to read the full title because I refuse to tie it in with anything Akira Toriyama has done, it's an insult to his work and to every ones childhoods.

Never seen the last Airbender movie but I've learned my lesson, only watched about 10 minutes of the Evolution movie before giving up and seeing how people are bashing the last Airbender movie I suspect it's the same story all over again.

Eragon is also one of the worst movies I've seen, quite possibly only because I read the book first but honestly, there is no way to love that movie if you've read the book.

Funnily enough the movies I seem to dislike the most are movies that make a mockery of other works of art. Don't really mind it if original movies are bad, but if you take something that is already a success and tear it apart and re-sell it under its original name then I′m not very happy.

Pfft. 28 Days Later was amazing,

JC's Avatar was god awful, same with the Dark Knight IMO. Honestly 99.9% of comic book movies are horrendous.

Agreed. TDK has to be one of the most overrated films of all time in my opinion. It's watchable, but really nothing special at all.

But for me, the most awful movies of all time are the Harry Potter films. Lame garbage.

My selective memory doesn't allow me to remember crap movies that are actually too crap to watch. I'm just fortunate that way... so now I gotta think, which is bad.
So first I want a drink..

.....

Blue Lagoon 2 <-- holy [censored] what a crap! -yes, it was a girls decision to go to it  (never saw the first one, crap as well I s'pose.. )

Still Silent Hill was pretty good, so game-based movies aren't an automatical failure. Just a very high propability ones :hehe:

Say what you will, but I'll always view that as a comedy and laugh my ass off whenever I watch that man give the most overly dramatic, scenery-chewing performance I've ever seen.

Avatar - Impressive CGI and impressively boring movie.
Shoot 'em up is probably the worst movie I've ever seen. I have a friend who had..um acquired it in a not-so-lawful manner, so he had not actually paid anything for it. But even then it wasn't worth it, we stopped watching it about halfway through and my friend even fell asleep.

I wouldn't say it's terrible (As a standalone film, it's okay), but Paranormal Activity 2 was the biggest disappointment ever for me. Absolutely loved the first film, then the sequel comes and does nothing but copy the first movie's scares, then ends with one of the dumbest twists ever put on camera. Good god, I was bitter for a week after I saw that trash.

Yeah, this right here.

Heads up - the 3rd will be entirely about Katie =/.
