Things what made you laugh (Part Two)

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 5:21 pm

well, considering the first one of these got locked because there was just so much in it (maximum posts or something), I figured I'd continue the thread, as it's hilarious.

I ran into these the other day in my 2nd or 3rd go through Nipton.

Two corpses to the north (I think) of the town hall.

Owen and Beru...... Star Wars nod methinks? :)

(Note: I do have the 'Wild Wasteland' perk on (or whatever it's called))

The old grannies who attack you outside the six robot place. I think it's a Monty Python reference.

A lot of NPC's appear to be obsessed with picking their noses.

The Shop keep in Novac and the NCR Troopers at Bitter Springs come to mind as the most prolific.

One Trooper even did a marvelous *FLICK* of a booger while I was watching.

Yep. It is. Reference to the "Hell's Grannies" sketch.

I beleive the Star Wars reference and the Granny attack are both from the Wild Wasteland Perk.

Just yestersday I was on my way to the Strip when I got too close to a pack of Longhorns. They spent the next half hour butting me between each other. It's hilarious because you actually get tossed through the air and the ragdoll effect makes it so much more fun.

The entire Yes Man conversation.

I snickered when I found the Rodents of Unusual Size, also...

I laughed when climbing up Black Mountain and triggering the Boulder trap.

Yes Man had me nearly falling out of my chair.

I also laughed when I got the Mark of Caesar after dealing with Benny. You're forgiving me of all past transgressions? You mean AFTER I wiped out everyone at both Nelson AND Cottonwood Cove (yeah, I returned to the main quest line late)?

I may have to edit this later from home BUT:

Primm.
the bonnie&clyde type couple.

the entire placard about the 'Death Car' that they were killed in.
'And the 50 people he killed. Potentially, had he ever shot his tommy-gun and if the magazine was fully loaded. Perhaps even more if he had spare drum magazines' (paraphrased from memory)

LMFAO!!!!!!!

Great thread! I've met the grannies and the sixbot so far.

'Assume the position' had me laughing so hard my family interrupted to make sure I was okay.

First time I interfaced Veronica to, errr, share the spoils and redistribute the weight:

"You are making me carry the heavy stuff, aren't you?"

"Shuddup and take the minigun..."

Oooo her name is ghost or something yeah screw NCR and their nicknames Caesar isn't going to care about nicknames when he comes in dumb (Censored)

Using Black Widow on Benny its funny and wrong at the same time.

It was a bug bit it was still funny when i shot a gaint scorpion and it fell though the ground but every now and then a peice would do some sorta rubber band stretch and peek outta the ground for a second, it stopped until i got to the other side of the mounton and then it peeked out of the side and scared the hell outta me because there was nightstalkers nearby and i thought i sneaked up on me at first.

Had Boone glitch in one of the vaults when i went swimming into one of the underwater hallways, he tried to follow me but when he got outta the water at the other end of the hallway he was swimming in air, just like floating there doing his swim motion.

I probably only thought this was hilarious because I'm currently studying Greek mythology, but one of the things Arcade says to you if you try to talk to him after you sell him to Caesar made me laugh:

"Why don't you make like Odysseus and get lost?"

Fantastic: "Hey man! Guess who just got promoted to [censored] dam god!" Really weird line that actually made me happy.

Anything related to the companions is really awesome as well. Like at ED-E's end game cinematic, it just shows him beeping, but I'm not sure if it changes if you've done ED-E My Love. Still doing that quest.

@Above: I studied Greek Mythology/Roman History in a College level in High School, and anything related to them (including when Arcade Speaks Latin) made me laugh and become sort of nostalgic.

This of course.

Cass is one of the more fun companions to have around, in my opinion of course.

Try applying a stimpack to her, see what happens...

Watching the kids chase the rat thinking it was just childish antics, then I shot the rats only to see the kids devour the dead diseased rodent.

They then replied "Thanks Mister!"

I was a little surprised to see them do that and I laughed so hard when I heard the kids thank me.

I didn't read "part 1" , so maybe this was brought up. But I had Cass as a companion and I had taken a bunch of chems. I turned to talk to her, and first thing she says is "Are you F-ing high?" I thought that was hilarious.

When one of Veronica's BoS friends chided her and asked if she had kept up with her training. Her response sounded just like my daughter when she comes up with a new excuse not to goto School - it was Awesome!
