Confirmed that vampire can use crossbows, watch the bloody demo, the vampire is using a crossbow.

I saw the demo, but it's just that, a demo. Chances are they added it to them for the demo to showcase the DLC. Every interview I've watched notes crossbows to be a benefit of joining the Dawnguard, implying it's exclusive to them unfortunately, but we will found out I suppose.

Everyone can use it , if they know how of course.

Everybody can use Dark Brotherhood armor, but you can't loot it off the Assassin that attack you in random encounters. (For obvious reasons.) But who's to say they don't do the same with crossbows?

Couldn't you just kill some Dawnguards and take their weapons?

That is why the vamp side sounds appealing. Get all the vamp powers and get Dawnguard armour and weapons of their dead bodies.

I hope not, because some of the higher end materials would be ridiculous as crossbows, therefore I need these ridiculous crossbows.
Because seriously, a Daedric crossbow would be crazy looking.

Oh as if they aren't ridiculous on bows.

Seriously, the Dwemer probably invented the crossbow.

They did Morrowind had two kinds of crossbows Dwemer and the Imperial reproduction which wasn't as good.

As long as it can be upgraded at the grindstone I could care less. At higher levels it really does not matter what material your weapon is made out of.

In order to make Crossbows faction exclusive, will they make them like fallout power armor.. where you need special training to use them??

I don't really know, maybe you can. But what might happen is: (and I've said this more than once)
-You're siding with the vampires.
-You kill a Dawnguard guy that has a crossbow.
-You see the crossbow on the ground.
-There is no option to pick it up.
-You go in its inventory. It is not there.
-There is no way to get access to it.

Yeah, like when you try to take the thieves guild armour off of the thieves that are killed every night in Riften.

Don't get me wrong , I LOVE bows ( look at my avatar )
But I planned to make an Heavy Archer build and if there will be only one type of Crossbows it will ruin it.

From the screenshot on the article and the video that was also linked, there are two different crossbows being used, how can journalists not try and prove/disprove their sources
and neither looked drawvern, so i'd expect at least 3-5 crossbow types

I may be wrong but I thought I saw a light crossbow and a heavy crossbow in the demo. Wasn't there only one type in Morrowind? I don't see what all the fuss is about personally. I'd be happy with one.

It certainly did look like it, but i think that it looks alot "heavier" in first person mode than in thrid
