Yeah, but I can't really tell you about the CPU aspect of it. I'm not really that familiar with the i3 for some odd reason.

Ok thanks, I'll chance it as I have a $500+ limit.

Would this make a good gaming card?: XFX Raedeon HD 6570 (1gb DDR3)

Number of Processors: 480

Clock speed of video memory: 650 MHz

Maximum Resolution: 2d/3d 2048x1536

What I meant was that I'm pretty sure the i3 there will run it, but I have no clue how well it'll run it.

The 6570 would do, it's just not the top of the line is all. But it'll play better than the 520, I believe. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong here.

Ok and thank you for your help thus far. Not to change the subject but Skyrim just isn't the same on a console as it is on a pc. My current pc is junk compared to stuff now adays. Video card maybe not its an ATI Raedron HD 2600 pro 512mb.

Dell Inspiron Desktop

Processor: 2nd gen intel core i3-2120 (3.3 GHz)

Cache memory : 3mb

System memory: 6gb ( DDR 3 SDRAM)

Hard drive: 1TB (SATA 7200 rpm)

Graphics Card: Intel? HD Graphics 2000 ( will more likely be replacing with a after market graphics card)

OS: Windows 7 Premium (64bit)

Would this process properly run Skyrim if I replace the onboard graphics card with something better along the lines of a PNY NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card? or something a little better?

The GT 520 is very VERY weak sauce, barely better than the HD 3000 in a Sandy Bridge. If you can't stay away from a Geforce, get a GTX 550 Ti, at least. The best middle of the road gaming card, with more frames per dollar than anyone's, is a Radeon HD 6770. Right now, I consider the HD 7700s somewhat overpriced.

Ok thanks for the advice Gorath, I'll more likely get the 6570 as it's closer to my price range at the moment.
