Except no, that's not logic. Logic is looking at the game sales and seeing Bethesda sold over 75% of copies to console users for both Oblivion AND Skyrim. That, good sir, is logic.

The only thing modders are keeping alive are the pc users. Which are again a minority. So what's your point?

His point is that without PC gamers the TES series would have never existed, and that the lifespan of each game was/is drastically expanded thanks to the great modding capabilities (like most games that support modding, it's a great long-term plan for steady revenue unlike "1st month console sales")

Not that it really matters a damn in relation to the OP, this is just steering into a platform war.

Well, the PS3 users got the shaft as usual when it comes to beth games. Long load times, Freezing. Crashing, FPS, bad sound, etc. So no complaining about the other platforms :)

Of course
I have hundreds of hours in with multiple characters with zero and I repeat zero crashes or slow downs or anything. I have autosave on everything and have accumulated over 500 saves myself with zero save load problems.

I was also watching a playthrough on the PC version and the load times were massive between areas...360 load times are fairly quick and blazing fast in comparison to the PC playthrough I was watching

Was this game designed and optimized for the 360 therefore the 360 has virtually no performance problems or is it just luck on my part?

Are you trying to stick the rest of our noses in it?

Yes, Bethesda designed Skyrim for the 360. Many people know that it`s basically a port on anything else. Yes, it`s not so good on the PS3 (saw a lady buying it for her kid today- I wanted to tell her it ain`t so good on that) and on the PC we have to suffer from an incredibly unintuitive UI and forced 3rd person on horse and werewolf mode, plus other sacrfices.

Yea, it`s made on PCs for the 360 first.

Happy?

I'm playing on an original 360. My load times when going through doors is about 5 seconds, when entering or leaving a dungeon or city 10-15 seconds, which doesn't bother me.

I've played MW and OB on this machine with no problems at all. However... if money were more plentiful, I'd have my friends make me a gaming pc and I'd be so there.

Since when is 20m people a lot lol? Do you know how many people own one of the current gen consoles? Quadruple that number lol.

Then PCs are 25% of the market? That is a very large minority, not a niche.

Despite your feelings, pc gaming is a very niche thing and pc gamers are minority. Console gaming rules the market because of this.

Consoles are out of date before they are even shipped. If you wish to play on inferior equipment go ahead. The major issue here are the parents supporting this idea. They are wasting their money buying a new console every few years for a few hundred dollars. When they can easily just keep their computer updated for much less. The software companies know this and exploit it for money.

The reason some PC's may take longer to load certain parts of the game, is most likely due to the mods (something consoles don't have). These mods make the game damn near like looking out your window in real life. Again, feel free to play with your subpar graphics with the console.

Consoles only hinder the innovation of technology. It does nothing to improve it.

The only thing good that comes to mind relating to a console is the Kinect. It's use now is decent, however once the PC people take over there will be no limit to what that type of technology will do. It will be built in your homes someday, most likely.

Answer: yes, it's was made for the people who like to waste money. Consolers.

Just remember, the PC will never die because all your wonderful consoles are designed from it and have all your games made on it.
The console will always owe the PC and if anything dies first it would have to be the console for the console cannot exist without the PC.

So those of you trying to sound like your better off should be thanking the PC crowd for helping to get you here.

Funny, I was watching an Xbox 360 playthrough and couldn't believe how slow the load times where. On my PC the load times are 3-4 seconds long, I've crashed to desktop maybe 4-5 times admittedly in my over 300 hour play time.

How else could that possibly be taken? You just put consoles on blast in every way shape and form.

Here's something you might not have thought of: not everyone cares about being top of the line. Some people just like to have fun and not have to worry about gpus and cpus and your psu going out blah blah. Does that make our opinions wrong? No, it does not. We are just a different type of gamer.

Not everyone has some "look at me im running eight thousand fps on ultra brah" complex. We just like to have fun.

It was designed for 360 yes, but I have no problems on PC and load times are 2-3 seconds.
Oh but we paid 1/5 the price

I understand the appeal to some people with PC mods etc, but not enough to spend money on upgrading my laptop. My game runs flawlessly on xbox, looks great in 1080p, so who cares if I can get a mod for better water textures. Or something equally mundane.

The PC gamers and modders also the ones keeping this game alive for a decade after would be dead on the consoles, and they're the ones responsible for this series ever making it into a series. Designing the game on PC would ensure that it had hit maximum potential, technically, and it could then be ported to consoles. That's pure logic.

If the PC gamers had their way, nobody but them would play the game. (Hell, if they had their way, nobody but them would play any video games.)

WOW....... You do realize what decade we live in right ? We are not in the 1980's anymore my friend and almost everyone owns or lives in a household that has a PC.

We just choose to play the games on another system because......... well just because.

LOL @ ' the PC crowd '.

Look, I play this game on the PC. It's great. Short load times, can play it with little lag on High settings, and I'm confused as to why people are complaining about the "ugly graphics". In any case, on the topic about the PC-Console thingy we have going on here;

PC has:

Mods
Arguably a more stable version, from looking at the PS3 people posts.
Steam
Mods

Consoles have:

Easy upkeep and use
According to some, better controls
(I can't really speak for the console, sorry)

Now you decide which is better, and please stop the childish little argument with everyone bawling their eyes out because someone insulted their platform of choice?

kthx
