...
Hey, what about a Duke Nukem board! Buy 3D Realms and come get some!

I think we will have a PREY board soon. If we had a Duke Nukem board, from too much awesomeness, I might die...

Always bet on Duke!

I told them in the mod's forum that we don' need no steenkin' CD, this is Doom! I'll likely be ignored though and it'll be added.

Over-ruled it seems...

Even a Mod-King can bleed...

Wasn't there a new Wolfenstein recently released? Funny that Doom gets forums before Wolfenstein. None-the-less, this makes me want to install my Doom Collector's edition CD again. :D Bring back good ol' memories when I used to play FPS's.

Is it possible to have IPX matches over the internets?

I've tried subtlety, sarcasm and screaming. They still ignore me. :hehe:

IIRC it's the Doom 2 load screen. In one of the corners (This is a cropped version) it says Hell on Earth

Edit: I think they stand on a huge pile of bodies too

http://juegosabiertos.com/abandonware/imagenes/portadas/doomII.jpg shows the full image, but it's quite small. Which is why I was quite happy to find a bigger version, even if it wasn't the full image.

I was about 5-6 when I played the first DOOM. I didn't get to play DOOM2 until about 2-3 years ago.

That Wolfenstein was not made by id, but Raven software IIRC. Same as Heretic and Hexen and more recently Quake 4. Get those two too if you want to see FPS/RPGs in their infancy :D

Ah, begging didn't start with an "s". I suppose if I gave it some thought, I should have tried supplicating. :P

Yeah, Wolfenstein has a pretty convoluted development history. Ravem, id, Splash Damage and several others have had a hand in it. Splash Damage released a free multiplayer, and I think some of the others had been brought in for specific platforms. Splash Damage (Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory) was formed by some folks doing mods for id titles.

I wonder what made you guys choose the pinky demon as the forum icon.

http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/6193/Doom_Original.png? http://www.ru-iphone.com/files/Doom3RadiantLogo.jpg? http://pressthebuttons.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/doomlogo.jpg

They'd make pretty sweet candidates, eh?

Everyone loves the chainsaw. Pinky was so easy to chainsaw...

Am I the only one who has never played a DOOM game? :D

*shocked* You've never played Doom!? :o

Give this guy a copy of Doom right away...and leave him locked in a room with the lights out and the curtains down for the ultimate experience.

Will John Carmack even visit these forums?
