Sign me up as an alternate.

I don't want to fill a spot because I don't know how active I will be, but if there is an open slot by the time this starts I will certainly take it.
I will still get a sign up sheet ready in a day or so, though.

I've just put you down in the main list for now, I suspect that everybody who wants to play will get the chance. If the game does hit the cap (which will probably be 33) then we can work it out then.

Hey, I might as well join. I'll make my profile in a bit.

Name: Stephen Jennings
Age: 37
Appearance: Tall, lanky, dark brown hair, pale skin. Wears thick-rimmed spectacles over dark blue eyes, and is always wearing a light gray ushanka, like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5c/Ushanka_of_Soldier_of_Soviet_Army-5.jpg.
Occupation: Biology professor who researches on most of his time that isn't teaching his class.
General Personality: Mainly amiable, if a bit reserved. Has a habit of pushing his glasses up his nose when nervous. Works okay under pressure, but does get a bit nervous.
Beliefs: Doesn't pay much attention to politics other than environmental issues. He strongly supports anything to protect the environment, within reason. Atheist, but generally doesn't pay much attention to other peoples religions unless they start a debate with him. Strangely, he knows a lot of the Bible, and can quote it a lot. This proves useful in arguments.
Strengths: Very, very smart in a scientific sense. Is able to make reasonable deductions well, but not especially well. He's great at identifying flora and fauna, and also knows a lot about history.
Weaknesses: He is very afraid of clowns. Also of small spaces. Physically weak, and when he does get nervous, he gets hysterically so. He also has bad vision.
History: He's a Canadian biologist who teaches at a university in British Columbia. He was born to a middle-class family, and had a nice childhood as a nerd. That's pretty much all there is.

There you go.

EDIT: Added two more strengths.

Sweet, it looks like I'll have to read up about the point system though. Threw me for a loop the first time I saw it.

Name: Bobby Staples "The Streaker"
Age: 17
Appearance: From a family of Middle Eastern decent but he is really the most pale tan, standing like a ghost or skeleton in complexion and physique at 6'2. Regrettably a publicly seen 'small package' to contrast.
Occupation: High-School Track runner and an unfortunately infamous star at the events
General Personality: Bobby is extremely bright, but not well supported in the way he talks about ideas. He is impulsive and often is pressured into things he know's could and will have nothing but bad consequences. There was one time he went streaking, for instance. However he does have boundaries to his actions, and upon aggressive confrontation he becomes childishly stubborn. In other situations he could split the finest hair 38 different ways. The only consequences he is mindful of are his immediate goals.
Beliefs: All of his views are upon a need to know / exercise basis, and being in High school this means they are largely underdeveloped and mostly pertaining to what is considered "on time" for homework. Though, he is a Democrat and Hindu as residual from the family, sticking to the ideals and not practicals of the positions.
Strengths: He comes with plenty of "solutions" to a problem, often thinking outside the box, but not always in practical ways. A very good runner (distance), pole vaulter. Surprisingly attentive for the amount that he seems to ignore. Very well developed speech and charismatic.
Weaknesses: He constantly gives in to peer pressure. He is quick to loose focus from important matters after the immediate problems leave. Arrogant and presuming, hypocritical really. Oddly he cannot talk to a woman to save his life (around a woman, sure. To one, no).
History: A prodigy runner at a 1000 student high school after moving around constantly as his family "upgraded status" during his pre-teen years. He is both a black sheep and point of pride of his family. As the only child his accomplishments have come to be expected from all as carrying on a steep family success tale. His uncle, another black sheep, is his most favorite relative but by entertainment only, as far as Bobby can personally tell.

I don't care what anybody says, that character sheet is entertaining.

Name: Brent Southee
Age: 21
Appearance: Fairly muscular, fairly tall. Has a surfer look going on - blonde, messy hair, surfer shorts, white vest top.
Occupation: Works at a paragliding club.
General Personality: Hyperactive, striving for the next adrenalin rush. Years of throwing himself out of high places into vast quantities of air has trained him to try and relax in all situations and just enjoy the ride. He's fairly friendly but people often find him to be boring below the "adrenaline-junky" outer layer. He tries - and succeeds - to be cool and this is his standard demeanour.
Beliefs: He thinks everyone was born to push themselves to the limit, enjoy life and find freedom. As a result he's fairly anti-legislation in most respects.
Strengths: Making a good first impression, physically capable in both endurance and explosive aspects, great balance, brave.
Weaknesses: Writing, reading, having a wide range of interests, not inclined to original thoughts.
History: Born into a fairly normal Australian family, Brent first became an adrenaline junkie on the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Quickly decided he wanted to experience more of the rush, he set out to do as many crazy stuff as he could.

Profiles accepted, except for Fighters for dodging evidence. :P

Something's come up on the evening of the 29th, so either I'll start the game a little early (morning of the 29th) and have it go for a little longer than usual, albeit with less host support; or I'll start the game a day later (evening of the 30th). At the moment I'm leaning towards the former.

Can I still sign up? Today was my last day of mid-terms, I have today (Jan. 25) and tomorrow off and I expect the first week or two of second semester to be smooth sailing. I'll probably post a profile later today, I'm too tired right now.

Points and other.

Certainly. From an innocent perspective: each time you correctly vote for a wolf, I'll take note of it (without informing you). When that particular wolf is finally executed, you will receive one point for each time you voted for that wolf. Additionally, each Judge may award one point to each player per day. You can then use those points to purchase abilities (listed in the signup) by PM'ing me.

From a wolf perspective: You will not receive points through voting, however every time a judge dies you will receive a point, and whenever you convert an innocent you will receive all of the points that player has on them.

The rules are slightly experimental and a little more complex than usual, so if a majority players would prefer a more traditional role system, then I'm completely happy to alter the ruleset.

Two more questions. Or, a question and a comment.
Judges, do they give one point to each player at the end of a round, as in everyone automatically gets a point at the end of a round. Or do they choose one person specifically to give a single point to. Or can they give a single point to any number of people they want.
Or will they be point barons and force the players into hard labor with their slanted point driven economy?

Does this do away with other roles?

Secondly, I am not sure if this is intended with the system, but it looks like anyone can track point allocation after a wolf has successfully been executed.

You need one conversation with me, and one for each wolf. It's unlikely that there will ever be more than 5 wolves, so 5 spaces in your inbox should be plenty for the game. :)

If I remember correctly, and unless someone buys a permanent channel, all pm's have to go through you first. Correct?
For the regulars.

I think I'll have to sit this one out actually. The next semester (and my new classes) start next Tuesday and I'm moving into the dorm this coming Thursday, so for the next two weeks or so all my attention will be on adjusting to my new classes and I'm afraid I wont have enough time to properly focus on Werewolf.

Still, I'll watch from the sidelines and I'm hoping I'll be able to join in on the next one.

He now answers more to his nickname than he does his real name.
