So What Are You Doing In Skyrim?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 5:56 pm

Almaut of Gilane just wandered into Whiterun. She's heard rumors of Alik'r harassing Redguard women in Skyrim, and wants to see if they have anything to say to her.

(I was curious if the Alik'r you encounter had any different dialog if the player is a female redguard.)

Raven (female Dunmer, mage, assassin) is currently trying to work her way up in the ranks of the Dark Brotherhood while trying to maintain her Remain Silent (unless she really needs to say something) mystery factor.

Currently just outside of Darkshade.
We do not use maps outside of towns so we have literally no idea where we are in relation to anything else at all.

1. Buy a cool weapon. Not steel or iron, stuff like ebony or glass.
2. Improve it.
3. Enchant it.
4. Sell it.
5. Repeat until you either have no more soul gems/ingots or enough money.

Parked my horse in the College of Winterhold, because I don't trust leaving him in the broken down village. Going to dump another book with the Arcanaenum's caretaker, and then be on my way to Alftand.

I am redoing my Orc Archer with heavy armor and two-handed. I'm going to try and blow through the Companions, get Farkas as a follower, then semi-powerlevel my heavy armor to 70 so I can get that perk immediately, because it's pretty much vital to my run-ability.
Then I'll be doing a lot of odd jobs from Stewards and Innkeepers to help bump her weapon skills back up. And mostly just to freeform around.

I thought about this because I was running around trying to find enchanting potions for my mage, and it just got tiresome.

wandering around falkreath, bumped into 3 thalmor soldiers told them i love talos, killed them all!
then went and got my nord warrior ebony armour.
Thinking of going to see that new museum in dawnstar.
i might also have to do malacaths quest so i can get volendrung, as it will look good in my armoury

There's gonna be some suffering.
Niamh is a woman with a deep well of hate and there are plenty of victims...
...guards outside of Ivarstead, treasure hunters...

Niamh's one-woman-war against every living in Skyrim continues apace with the occupants of Fort Amol added now to the tally.
Exploring further upriver, close to the falls she was darkly amused by the drama that had played out involving Lucky Lorenz.
We are now in the abandoned prison, just down from there...
...even the dead are subject to her anger...

Finishing up the Companions main questline so I can cure this lycanthrophy and become a vampire. Also marry Vilkas I guess. It's really kinda hard to choose between him and Farkas, they're both just adorable as all hell. Still, Farkas is about as smart as a doorknob and Vilkas and my Khajiit thief both understand the value of GOLD. DELICIOUS GOLD.

After that, I'm gonna set off doing quests in Windhelm and Winterhold. Stupid Ulfric not letting me buy a stupid house.....

Making an imperial "noble" late for a wedding.

He's going to be late all right- in more ways than one. Call me a peasant, will he? :stare:

Looking for a flat spot of land to put a house on. Not having much luck, since every good spot already has something there. :stare:

You MUST see Cradlecrush Pond, S/SW of Gallows Rock, NE of Cradlecrush Rock in Eastmarch. A beautiful peaceful blue pond with amazing views and your very own Shrine to Talos. Gorgeous location!

Nice but not what I was looking for. Found a spot in the mountains on the East side of the Rift. More or less level, with nothing nearby. I can pretty much build as I want without worrying about deleting or moving any Vanilla stuff. Thanks anyway, though.

So to update, my plan worked perfectly. I had PLENTY of money to both train (and get my money back) and consistently level smithing up via the iron dagger trick. I even had plenty left over to get Aela to bump my archery up to an admiral level.

I had also powerleveled my sneak by setting the game on Master and backstabbing Hadvar in his house. I bumped it to around 74 or something, enough to get me the triple damage for bows.
So then I went to take up a job from an innkeeper like I said I would. They sent me against two giants.
I was level 29 with 71~ish heavy armor and ~68ish Archery so it's not like I was a weakling, but these giants messed me UP. I completed it (Miraculously) and then went off to Bleak Falls barrow, and wondered why I was so weak against a Frost Troll who brought me down to 1/3rd health. I ran from it, and the bandits were rough, too! I finally remembered that I had Master on from powerleveling sneak and finally turned it down, and resumed my orc's normal badassery.
But boy, did I feel stupid.

I'm actually doing a little of the main quest and eventually the Civil War stuff so I can get the house in Windhelm. All my characters use the house in Whiterun and I could use a change in scenery.

I am leery of whiterun guards and everyone in this city in general. I had an incident today where after returning to town and making my way up to dragonsreach the guards were fine. Upon entering dragonsreach the Jarl and his court attacked me. The only way I could resolve it was by stealing from the merchants, I paid a small bounty and the problem was corrected.

Supposed to be attending college and "fulfilling my destiny" for Azura.
Got bored and embarked on a drinking game - woke up in Markarth! Niamh doesn't even know where that is - one thing though - Sam had better hang onto his valuables, because there is a strong chance that one important part of his person may end up being worn as a necklace...

Niamh can't go to Whiterun at all at the moment - she has a bounty of a 1000 - totally worth it though...
