i love the black knight look to ebony, my main character is a nord so i went with legendary ancient nord armor, seemed to fit much better.

My thief is wearing nightingale armor...cause its pimp

and my mage is wearing daedric armor, seems way to arcane looking for a warrior to wear

Armor? Armor is just a placed holder for Enchants. I don't ever take any damage so I don't need armor.

Wow! Nice!

I am really in favor of the Ebony Mail, with black boots, thal gloves and a circlet (because there are no black hoods)

The darker dragon priests masks are pretty close to black hoods

I can't do the masks. It would be a sin to cover those sixy puffy lips.

I use the apprentice hood or shrouded cowl for my black hood.

I only roll with thieves guild armor, nightingale or apprentice robe most of the time. I love the blades armor too

Tsun's armour, most detailed vanilla armour in the game, even looked good before the 2k texture pack. The pics don't show the near perfect reflection map in action either.

This. All http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/image.php?id=24962 use Tsun's armor. Nice screenshots, btw.

I vary armor depending on the character, though, My Nord warrior uses Tsuns' armor, my mage wore robes, my Imperial used the Blades armor, my Wood Elf is still in leather, and my DB Nightblade is wearing modded DB armor that's a cross between a robe and armor with light armor stats (he went for about 15 levels in light Imperial as an FU to the Imperials that were going to execute him). I have yet to use Daedric, Ebony, Dragon scale or bone at all. There's an amazing Daedric retexture, so I've waiting for an excuse to use it, though.

I'm level 46, and I'm still toting around my Iron Helmet, Iron Gauntlets, Iron Boots, Studded Armor and Banded Iron Shield.... because gimping myself adds more balance to my playstyle than what Bethesda has offered me.

Banded armour look seriously cool, not sure if you can hit the armour cap with it, but I'm going to keep it for a while on my characters. Khaijjit especially look cool in it. As many people have said, the high end stuff is over the top. So banded or fur for me.

Since game sometimes brings out third person view, I have to go for the looks. So it's Dragonscale for light (even though the helmet makes my Argonian look like a goat) and Orcish for heavy. To me, Orcish is by far best looking armor set in Skyrim, and fits well my character's looks. Too bad, it's called heavy, even though the stats are worse than Dragonscales'.
